Ssakseuri Gopchang

싹쓰리곱창 Gopchang is pork small intestine, here stir-fried with vegetables, glass noodles and rice cakes; 'Ssakseuri' is the house's coined name.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

Ssakseuri Gopchang's Seongsu main branch sits on the ground floor at 408 Ttukseom-ro, on the main road toward Ttukdo Market. It serves pork intestine stir-fries: vegetable gopchang and pork cartilage at 15,000 won a portion, al-gopchang and sundae gopchang at 16,000. Most pairs ordered one portion each of two mains, then had fried rice (4,000 won) made in the leftover sauce. The intestine is cooked in the kitchen and arrives on a griddle in a shallow sauce, to be simmered for just two or three more minutes at the table. In the evening a line forms on the chairs out front. We read 30 posts from 8 September to 5 October 2026; 2 were about other restaurants, and 24 record an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Expect to wait in the evening. Thirteen posts waited or saw a line form. Three gave times: 40–50 minutes on a Saturday evening with 16 groups ahead, 30 minutes at 6:30 on a Friday with 4–5 groups ahead, and 30 minutes at 8:30 on a Friday. Those who came at 5–6 pm on a weekday, or 4:40 on a Saturday, walked straight in and saw the line start as they left. One post counted 25 more groups joining behind them in a single hour. The list is a paper sheet at the door, not an app, and one post notes you write your order on it too. Two posts say you lose your place if you're not there when called.
  2. Seven posts describe rows of waiting chairs outside. Two say that when people are waiting, tables are limited to two hours (120 minutes); a third only says it heard so.
  3. The intestine arrives already cooked. Six posts say it is stir-fried in the kitchen, and they were told to simmer it only two or three minutes more before turning off the burner; some were warned it gets spicier and saltier the longer it cooks. Five posts say staff fry the closing rice at the table.
  4. Sixteen posts say the portions are large. One asked staff whether a single fried-rice order was really one portion; others call it one that looks like two, and several couldn't get to, or finish, the fried rice.
3 more
  1. Eleven posts found it spicy and one found it barely spicy. Two put it a little hotter than Shin Ramyun, and one notes the heat can't be adjusted. Ten say the intestine had no off smell; one noticed a slight smell in the room that time, though not in the food.
  2. The table comes with dongchimi radish water kimchi, a garlic-soy sauce, chojang and lettuce and perilla leaves. Ten posts say refills are available; four explain that greens, garlic and chilies come from a self-service bar, but the dongchimi has to be requested from staff. Water and aprons are self-service.
  3. Seven posts describe front windows or folding doors left open, so the window seats feel like eating outdoors on the street, and one calls them terrace seats under a red awning. Three found those seats already taken.

Only one post drove. There is no parking at the restaurant, so they used a nearby public lot at 600 won per 30 minutes. Other posts' 'no parking' notes are copied listings.

Getting inside

Toilet inside2 of 23 posts
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 23 posts read)

We don't know about floors or stairs. The address says ground floor, but no post describes the way in.

We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. Nobody wrote about it, which isn't the same as saying there's a problem.

Two posts say the restroom is inside the restaurant, and one of them says it is unisex but clean and pleasant-smelling. Two copied listings claim separate men's and women's restrooms; we don't count copied information.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-10-052 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Posts differ on size: two call it spacious, one found it smaller than expected. They describe round drum tables, square tables further in, and two- and four-seat tables; one says a two-seat table fills up once the griddle arrives.
  • One post timed the walk from Seongsu Station exit 3 at 11 minutes and another at 15. Two call it an easy walk and two say it's a bit of a hike; one mentions a nearby bus stop.
  • All 13 visit posts that give opening hours say daily 12:00–23:30, last order 22:30, but every one copied it from a listing. The only first-hand detail is one post that walked in at the noon opening; none mentions a closing day.
  • Prices were the same in every post over the month: two mains plus fried rice for two comes to about 35,000 won. Opinions on value differ. Two posts call it cheap for the amount, and two say it costs 1,000–3,000 won more than their local place but the portions make up for it.
  • We don't know about reservations: copied listings say yes twice and no once, and nobody booked ahead. Nine posts give the phone number as 0507-1469-3461; one gives 02-464-4426.
  • Some posts weren't counted. One closely mirrors another review's wording and order, and one relays other reviews and the official listing; we don't treat either as a visit. Posts about 'Ingye Ssakseuri Gopchang' in Suwon and a Cheongnyangni pork-belly place with a similar name were set aside as different restaurants. One post came from a sponsored tasting.
