Seongsu Ilgu
성수일구 Seongsu is the neighborhood; ilgu reads as the number nineteen (il-gu), and one post links an account named seongsu_19 — no post explains why the house chose it.

Seongsu Ilgu is a small izakaya on Seongdeokjeong 17-gil, at the far end of the Ttukdo Market food alley, about 800 m from Seongsu Station exit 3. The center of the menu is the Ilgu sashimi, an assortment of aged fish on one plate, alongside sea urchin with sweet shrimp, chicken nanban, pressed mackerel sushi and napolitan, drunk with draft beer, highballs or sake; at lunch it serves rice bowls such as kaisendon. In July 2026 posts put the Ilgu sashimi for two at 39,000 won and the sea urchin with sweet shrimp at 39,000 won. We read 23 posts from November 2024 to September 2026; 17 record an actual visit. The other 6 are neighborhood lists or template-made guides, and we did not count them.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Cabbage arrives as soon as you sit down: nine posts say a plate of raw cabbage (with pickled radish and rakkyo) came free, and several call the dipping sauce unlike anything they had had. A November 2024 post says the owner refilled it three times; a July 2026 post says each extra plate cost 1,000 won.
- The walls are covered with celebrity autographs: five posts say they saw them, one naming Byul, Kwanghee, Lim Hyun-joo, Choi Jun and Jeong Ju-ri. Two more posts only say many celebrities come; we could not tell whether they saw or heard it, so we left them out.
- It is a small room: eight posts say so. The table counts differ — 'two 2-seat and about two 4-seat tables' in November 2024, three 2-seat and five 4-seat in July 2026, five 4-seat and two 2-seat in August 2026. We cannot tell whether the room grew or the estimates differ. A January 2025 post mentions bar seats alongside tables for up to four.
- Five posts call the owner or staff kind, and gifts on the way out keep coming up: chocolate Umaibo (Jul 2026, Mar 2025), complimentary sake (Mar 2025, Apr 2026), an off-menu bingsu and caprese (Nov 2024), and a bag of treats, two per person (Aug 2026). The March 2025 visitor was also handed a flower for Women's Day.
4 more
- Four posts say it is not expensive for Seongsu — cheap for the quality, and six fried oysters for 9,000 won is easy on the wallet. One post says three women ate 250,000 won worth; another itemizes sea urchin with sweet shrimp, chicken nanban and two bottles of soju at 68,000 won.
- Five posts went with friends, three with a partner or spouse, one alone and one in a larger group; several came here as a second or third stop of the night.
- Fried dishes split: two posts found the fried oysters and karaage crisp, while one found the chicken nanban moist rather than crunchy.
- One post says it is easy to find walking down from Seongsu Station exit 3. Others give only the distance — 800 m, about ten minutes — and one warns it is a fair walk from the main Seongsu strip.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
One post says it is easy to find walking down from Seongsu Station exit 3. Others give only the distance — 800 m, about ten minutes — and one warns it is a fair walk from the main Seongsu strip.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 1 of 16 posts |
|---|
No post describes the floor from experience; the address says ground floor, but nobody wrote about it.
Nobody says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in.
One post says the toilet is inside the shop, clean, stocked with mouthwash and sanitary items, even a fan; another praises the supplies. Nobody says whether it is separated by sex.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 22 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- We know little about waits. One post walked in early on a weekday evening; another got in straight away on a Saturday night yet says the wait can be long. Claims of Friday–Saturday queues are hearsay and not counted. One post says seating is limited to two and a half hours when people are waiting.
- Two posts say reservations are taken through Naver, and one booked ahead. Four posts give the same phone number, 0507-1400-5359.
- Opening hours and the closing day have changed. Four posts from November 2024 to March 2025 list Tuesday as the day off, weekday dinner from 5 pm and lunch only at weekends (or Friday–Sunday); four posts from July–August 2026 list Monday off and hours from noon to 3:30 am (2 am on Sunday). All are copied info blocks, and even the two November 2024 posts disagree on closing (1 am vs 3 am). Check before going.
- Prices have risen: the Ilgu sashimi for two was 36,000 won in a March 2025 post and 39,000 won in July 2026. Chicken nanban appears at 18,000 won in July 2026 and 19,000 won a month later.
- Some posts were not counted: two guides written from the same template ('taste over looks', '783 m from exit 3'), one neighborhood list posted twice by the same author, and two other lists — none records a visit.
