Seongsudarak
성수다락 Seongsu Darak Darak is the Korean word for an attic or loft; the house plays on it with a small picture-frame door and a narrow staircase up to its second- and third-floor rooms, and Seongsu is the neighborhood.

Seongsudarak is a Western-style restaurant on the second and third floors of a building on Ttukseom-ro 9-gil, in the lane behind the Musinsa Megastore near Seongsu Station exit 3. You get in by pulling open a small door disguised as a picture frame and climbing the stairs. The signature is the Darak omurice (17,000 won), whose omelet staff slit open at your table; around it people share pastas and risotto (19,000 won), a pork-neck steak (24,000 won) and a katsu sandwich side (12,000 won). You order by ringing a bell on the table, and water and tissues are self-serve. We read 30 posts published between 23 September and 5 October 2026; 24 of them record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect to wait at mealtimes. Six posts say they queued: just under 10 minutes around 12:30 on a weekday, about 10 minutes before an early lunch, a line already formed before the 11:30 weekday opening, and a wait even around 2 pm on a weekday. One post walked in at an off-peak hour without waiting. One diner says staff took their order while they waited, so food came almost as soon as they sat; another found it quiet around 5 pm.
- The windows are large: six posts describe sunlight pouring in, while one diner seated in the interior said it felt like evening lighting at lunchtime.
- Plenty of foreign visitors: seven posts noticed them. Three saw a corner set aside for The Boyz member Lee Jae-hyun, with photos and a 'Hyunjae set' combo — the idea that fans make pilgrimages is hearsay, not something we checked.
- Most pastas and the risotto carry heat: nine posts call the spicy cream pasta, the rosé or the crab risotto spicy. The omurice splits opinion — two found it mild, while one family thought it slightly too hot for children. One diner suggests asking staff about heat before ordering the pastas and risotto.
5 more
- Portions are generous: six posts say so — the katsu sandwich is billed as a side but ate like a meal, the pork-neck steak was 'really hearty', and one couple gave up on ordering another dish. Two mains and a side for two people is the usual order.
- Prices read as fair for Seongsu: five posts say it isn't expensive, none say it is. Mains run 17,000–24,000 won, sides 10,000–12,000, ades 6,900; one couple put two mains plus the katsu sandwich at about 50,000 won. One post says each person must order a main.
- A broad mix of company: six posts went with family (a mother, siblings, children), five with friends, two with a partner or spouse, one alone. Several pitch it for wedding-invitation get-togethers.
- Two posts came with children. One says staff set up a high chair and gave kid-sized tableware; the other says the hidden door delighted the kids.
- Go by subway: three posts walked from Seongsu Station exit 3 — about nine minutes, heading toward Daelim Changgo. The '8 minutes' and '575 m' figures elsewhere are copied listing details.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Seating is spread over two floors, the second and third. Fifteen posts mention both floors or being shown upstairs. Some found the third floor roomier, with tables further apart, and one says the window seats were held for reservations.
It is upstairs, not down: seven posts describe opening the frame door and climbing stairs. Several warn the door is so low you have to duck — the big wooden door is not the entrance; the picture frame on the right is.
Probably hard for wheelchairs. One parent writes that you pass a small door and climb stairs, so a stroller has to be left downstairs or folded and carried. No one mentions a lift or ramp — that means nobody wrote about one, not that there isn't one.
On toilets, one post only says they are on the third floor. Nobody says whether they are separated by gender or how big they are.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Seventeen posts give opening hours, most saying 11:30 on weekdays and 11:00 at weekends, closing at 21:15 with last orders at 20:30 and no afternoon break. But four say 11:30 every day and four just say 11:00, so the weekday opening time is uncertain. Most of these are copied from Naver or Catchtable.
- Seven posts list the phone number 0507-1349-9197; one copied 02-467-9197 from Catchtable. Several say you can book through Naver or Catchtable, and one diner saw the window seats reserved.
- Views on space differ: one post found plenty of well-spaced tables, two called it small.
- Only one post discloses sponsorship; most say nothing either way. Two guide-style posts from the same blog and one top-ten list record no meal and were not counted.
