Rivoli

리볼리 Ribolli Rivoli is a French name; the shop's Instagram handle, ruede.rivoli, points to the Rue de Rivoli in Paris, in keeping with its French-home look.

Rivoli is a brunch café on the second floor of Yeonmujang 9-gil 4, a 3-10 minute walk from exit 3 of Seongsu Station. It serves thin buckwheat galettes, pastas and a scrambled-egg kimchi fried rice; posted prices include 14,000 won for the jambon-cheese galette, 15,000 won for the rosé tteokbokki pasta, 17,000 won for the truffle mushroom cream pasta and 19,000 won for egg in hell. You order and pay at the counter, fetch plates, cutlery and water from a self-service bar, and the food is brought to your table. We read 26 posts dated 1 April to 27 September 2026; 22 describe a visit, 3 only linked to Rivoli from posts about other places, and 1 was a list of several cafés.

When it opens
Daily10:00–20:0015 of 15 posts

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ten posts say the room is bigger than expected; one writer expected a small café and found it very roomy, another was surprised by how many tables there were. Seating is mostly for two and four, with a bookshelf dividing the room and a separate nook by the restroom holding one four-seat and one two-seat table. Two writers wanted the much-photographed pink sofa but found it taken.
  2. Eight posts mention a terrace; one calls it narrow, another mentions two-seat tables out there. No one wrote that they actually ate on it, and one writer skipped it because it was chilly.
  3. Waiting is mixed: 3 posts waited or saw a queue, 4 walked straight in. The only stated wait was 10 minutes, even with empty tables, and that writer blamed a single server for the slow turnover. The no-wait visits were a Saturday at 2:30 pm, a Friday around 3 pm and right at the 10 am opening. Three posts repeat a rule that your whole party must be present to be seated from the waitlist, but none describes it happening.
  4. Most writers who weighed the price found it high: 3 said it was poor value for money, 1 called the prices easy on the wallet, and 1 felt the portion was small for the price without calling it expensive. Two people ordering a galette, egg in hell, a croissant and two drinks spent about 50,000 won.
3 more
  1. Four posts say the seasoning is gentle and nothing was salty. One differs, finding the ham and cheese on the jambon galette distinctly salty.
  2. Ten posts describe going with friends or acquaintances, one writer went alone and sat at a two-seat table by the wall, and one went as a larger group to share several dishes.
  3. Three posts found the staff kind: one describes a server spilling an americano, remaking it and apologising sincerely, and another says the owner helped them choose dishes.

Getting inside

Second floor17 of 22 posts
Toilet inside2 of 22 posts
Separate restroomsyes 0 · no 1 (of 22 posts read)

The café is upstairs: 17 of the 22 visit posts say it is on the second floor, and one warns that the ground-floor café is a different business. Several tell you to look for the small sign and the sign on the stairs, since it is not visible from the street. Two say not to turn the door handle, just pull the door open.

No post mentions basement seating; the café is on the second floor, and no one said whether it uses any other floor.

No one mentioned a step at the door, a ramp, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller; that means we don't know, not that there is none. Two writers describe climbing stairs to reach the door.

Two posts say the restroom is inside the café, one placing it in front of the sofa seats, and both found it clean. One post notes it is a single shared restroom for all genders.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Portions divide opinion: 3 posts found them small, one noting tiny plates and another that a grown man might go hungry; 1 found them more filling than expected; 1 said they look small but fill you up.
  • Fifteen posts list the same hours, 10 am to 8 pm daily, almost all copied from listings. No one mentions a break time or last order. One post (copied) says there is no regular day off and suggests checking Instagram for temporary closures.
  • Nine posts give the phone number 02-469-0344. Reservations are unclear: one post says you can book, another says walk-in only, and neither describes actually trying, so we don't know.
  • One writer vaguely recalled a two-hour seating limit; we can't confirm it.
  • The truffle mushroom cream pasta first appears in June 2026 posts and not in April or May; a July post called it new. Some galette prices differ by 1,000 won between posts (basil-tomato and egg-sausage each listed at both 15,000 and 16,000 won).
  • Two posts describe visits well before their publication date: a September 2026 post recalls a visit two years earlier, and an August post a Christmas-season visit. An April 2026 post calls the café recently opened, which conflicts with the two-year-old visit; we don't know when it opened.
