Podori

포도리 Podori Podo is the Korean word for grape — fitting for a wine bar; one post titled itself 'grapes, right from the name'.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

Podori is a small wine bar on a side street near Ttukdo Market in Seongsu (Seongsu-iro 18, ground floor). You eat small plates such as cuttlefish and mullet-roe pasta (27,000 won), truffle white ragù (24,000) and jamón-topped fried potatoes (18,000) with natural wine by the glass (about 14,000 to 19,000 won) or the bottle. Tables are booked on CatchTable and you order by QR code at your seat. We read 30 posts dated 21 March to 2 October 2026. Of those, 26 are about this bar and all 26 describe a visit. The other four are about the bar next door at the same address and other nearby places.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. It is small: 12 posts said so. The posts that counted seats describe a bar plus three or four tables, two two-tops and one four-top, or about three tables and six bar stools. Only one post counted four or five four-person tables.
  2. This is a book-ahead place. Thirteen posts booked or said you need to, all through CatchTable. One group grabbed the last table at short notice. A walk-in at about 3 pm found two free tables but was told it had about an hour before a 4:30 booking.
  3. Seating time is limited. Two posts gave the same rule: two hours when people are waiting. A walk-in got one hour before the next booking, and another writer hurried out to free the table for the next reservation.
  4. There is a weekend-afternoon bottle discount. Three posts used it: one went at 4 pm on a weekend and got 20% off a bottle ordered between 3 and 5, one found about 10% off drinks during happy hour, and one said happy hour made the prices reasonable. Counting the posts that only mentioned it, three give 20% and one gives 10%. One post added that a 5 pm booking does not qualify.
4 more
  1. Six posts called it quiet, saying it was not noisy and was good for low-voiced conversation. One post used 'quiet' in its title but wrote in the body that the room is small enough to hear every conversation.
  2. They help you choose wine. Six posts praised the staff, all for wine advice. Ask, and they bring three bottles at different price points or several bottles with an explanation of each. One post also mentions the bottle kept chilled and glasses topped up.
  3. Expect a walk from the station. Four posts said 10 minutes from Seongsu Station and two said 15. Two said to take exit 3 and walk straight. One called it quite far, and one recommended taking the bus.
  4. Saltiness splits two and two, but over different dishes. One post found the roe pasta much saltier than expected and one found the potatoes a little salty. Two other posts said the olives and the charcuterie were not salty.

These are raw counts, not percentages. Someone who did not mention something is not someone who disagreed.

The most ordered dish is gabojingeo eoran pasta (갑오징어 어란 파스타) — 13 of 26 posts.

The prices here are what bloggers wrote down in their posts, and they may have changed since. Check Naver Place for the current menu and prices. This list is not a menu board — it counts what bloggers actually ordered and ate. Check on Naver Place

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Expect a walk from the station. Four posts said 10 minutes from Seongsu Station and two said 15. Two said to take exit 3 and walk straight. One called it quite far, and one recommended taking the bus.

Getting inside

No post says which floor it is on or mentions stairs. The address says ground floor, and that is all. This does not confirm anything; nobody wrote about it.

No post mentions a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. That is a gap in what was written, not evidence either way.

No post describes using the toilet. One post's info line says there is no toilet inside, but it is a copied listing line and we did not count it.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • No post describes queueing. One said walk-ins look nearly impossible at weekends, while a walk-in at about 3 pm sat straight down. That does not mean there is never a wait; almost everyone booked, so nobody wrote about one.
  • Twelve posts list opening hours, all copied from listings. Eleven agree on 17:00 to 23:00 on weekdays and eight say closed Mondays. Weekends differ: Saturday opening is given as 15:00 by nine posts and 17:00 by three, and Sunday closing as 22:00 by nine and 23:00 by three. Check before you go.
  • Dish prices are well documented, but only one post gives a per-person cost: about 20,000 to 30,000 won before drinks, in its info box. Wine adds to that, and one birthday group said they spent far more than planned. Some prices disagree: a 1 September post gives 14,000 won for the charcuterie and crackers, and an 8 September post gives 17,000. Two posts called the prices reasonable.
  • Whether you must order alcohol is unclear. Two posts said a drink order is required, at least a glass or a bottle, but neither said whether that is per person or per table. A March post ordered a non-alcoholic sparkling tea during pregnancy.
  • Nine posts copied the phone number, 0507-1393-7524, but nobody wrote about booking by phone. Every booking mentioned went through CatchTable.
  • The menu seems to change. One post said it changes every visit, and a July post said a pastry soup it had eaten seemed to be gone. We cannot say whether the dishes listed above are still on.
