Friends&Yard

프렌즈앤야드 Peurenjeu aen Yadeu The name is plain English, Friends & Yard: the restaurant sits behind a tree-filled front yard set with long wooden tables, and posts say the name makes sense the moment you walk in.

Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →

A brunch restaurant tucked inside S-Factory building B, a short walk from Seongsu Station exit 3, with a terrace set in a tree-lined yard. The menu centres on lasagna, pasta, tartines and salads: classic lasagna 22,000 won, basil cream calamarata 23,000 won, the avocado chilli egg tartine 19,000 won, kabocha-carrot soup 9,000 won. You read the menu from a QR code on the table, then order and pay up front at the counter. Salads and pastas change with the season: the ricotta salad came with strawberries in spring, apricots in summer and figs from late August 2026. We read 30 posts dated August 2025 to October 2026; 25 describe an actual meal there, 3 were about other places and 2 only introduced it.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. The yard terrace is what people come for: 17 posts describe the outdoor seating. One says the terrace is the first to fill on a fine day; another arrived at Friday opening to find the big tables already reserved; one counted five two-person tables and two large shared ones. Midsummer is hot, and one aunt moved inside when the sun bothered her nieces. Posts repeatedly advise booking on Naver if you want a terrace seat.
  2. Inside connects to outside: 8 posts say the large windows and folding doors are thrown open, so indoor tables feel almost like the terrace.
  3. Expect a wait. 12 posts mention queuing; 3 walked straight in (a spring weekday, a Friday opening, a weekday with a stroller). Recorded waits are 5-10, 20, 30 and 40 minutes, the 40 on a weekday at 2 pm. One couple arrived at 9:40, twenty minutes before opening, and were second in line. Several posts say you leave your party size and phone number on a list out front and get a call when your turn comes; miss the call and you go to the back. One says there is no kiosk; an earlier July post found no sign-up sheet at all and had to hold their place in person. 3 posts mention a bench or chairs for waiting.
  4. Food takes time: 6 posts say so, with waits of 30 minutes, just over 30, and 45. Drinks reliably come first; one table was brought a dish they hadn't ordered. 3 posts didn't find it slow. The notice about long cooking times is the restaurant's own, quoted by posters.
6 more
  1. On weekends and public holidays seating is limited to two hours after all your dishes arrive, according to the notice 4 posts recorded.
  2. The QR code is only a menu: 8 posts say you order and pay first at the counter. 2 posts describe ordering through the QR, 1 is unclear. One post notes water is self-serve near the counter.
  3. 4 posts found dishes salty: the basil cream calamarata, the blue-cheese paccheri, the lasagna, and one table who kept reaching for water. One post said the lasagna was not too salty; another thought it might taste salty to people who eat light.
  4. 4 posts noticed many foreign guests; the waiting notice is translated into several languages, and visitors without a Korean phone number can sign up by name.
  5. 3 posts came with children: an aunt with nieces aged 7 and 9, a family with a baby in a stroller, and one who saw many families. One post found no high chairs (a copied info block claims there are some).
  6. 3 posts say it is an easy walk from Seongsu Station exit 3. More often they mention the hidden entrance: you turn off the main road into the S-Factory lot behind the buildings, and several wondered whether they had the right place; in one post every friend phoned to say they couldn't find the door.

Parking

1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park1 of 25 posts

Only one post described parking from experience: the S-Factory lot right in front, one hour free after a meal, then 1,000 won per 10 minutes, with nearby public lots full. Many others repeat the restaurant's notice — one free hour, one car per table, if each person orders a main — but that is copied, not observed.

From the station

3 posts say it is an easy walk from Seongsu Station exit 3. More often they mention the hidden entrance: you turn off the main road into the S-Factory lot behind the buildings, and several wondered whether they had the right place; in one post every friend phoned to say they couldn't find the door.

Getting inside

Step-free access1 of 25 posts
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 25 posts read)
Separate restroomsyes 1 · no 1 (of 25 posts read)

No post described the floor level. The address says ground floor and the yard seems level with the entrance, but nobody mentioned stairs or floors, so we don't know for sure.

Only one post mentions a stroller: they sat outside and saw others inside dining with strollers beside them. Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair access; we don't know.

2 posts say the toilets are outside the restaurant; one explains you take a key card from the left of the counter and walk round the side passage to the left.

Whether the toilets are separated by gender is split one to one: one post says separate, one says shared. A copied info block says separate.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • 16 posts give opening hours of 10:00-18:00, mostly copied from the restaurant's notices. Last order is 16:30 for food (17:00 for drinks) in 9 posts; one says 17:00 and one 16:00. 2 posts say it opens every day. One weekend-lunch post heard the kitchen had closed mid-meal and only drinks were left, and another found the fig salad sold out, so arriving late may mean no food.
  • Opinions on price are split: 2 posts call it expensive (too much for an office lunch), 3 say it is pricey but fair or as expected for Seongsu, and 1 felt a 20,000-won salad was good value. One couple paid 54,000 won for three dishes and two coffees, with the soup free via a coupon. Most plates are 18,000-23,000 won.
  • 5 posts list the phone number as 070-0000-7979 and one as 0502-1918-2024; two say calls rarely get through and suggest Naver messages or Instagram DM. 6 posts booked through Naver; one notes the deposit isn't refunded if you change a booking after 5 pm the day before.
  • The menu changes with the seasons, so it depends on the post date. The herb-oil mackerel pasta in posts from December 2025 to May 2026 was gone by July, when the barley risotto was listed but unavailable; from late August 2026 a fig and brie tartine and a blue-cheese paccheri appear. We can't say which dishes are on the menu today.
