Mum Aloi is a Thai restaurant on a side street (Seongsuil-ro 12-gil) between Seongsu and Ttukseom stations, opened on 1 September 2026. It is the Seongsu branch of a place that started in Sangsu in 2014 and moved to Ilsan's Bamridan-gil in 2022; the Ilsan shop appears to still be open. The menu runs to pad thai, pad kaphrao, tom yum and green curry; the prices posted are 11,000 won for stir-fried morning glory, 12,000 for pork noodle soup and crab fried rice, 13,000 for pad thai. You order from a QR code on the table and pay at the counter after eating. We read 21 posts dated 29 January 2025 to 14 September 2026; 13 were about the Ilsan branch and set aside. The remaining 8 all fall in the first two weeks after opening (2–14 September 2026): 7 are visits, and 1 is the restaurant's own introduction.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Expect a wait at lunch. Four posts mention one: a weekday 1 pm visit that waited 5–10 minutes; a post advising you to come before the lunch rush; someone in the café opposite who watched a queue form at lunchtime; and a regular who went three days running and said the queue was serious from day two. Opening day, in the rain, was quiet. All of this is from the first two weeks, so we can't say whether it lasts.
- There's no printed menu; you order through a QR code on the table. Four posts say so, one adding that you settle up at the counter afterwards. One diner found almost everything written in Thai and had to ask staff whether they served rice-noodle soup, though another post notes there is a Korean sign too.
- Four posts mention the window seats: a counter along the glass under stained-glass panels of elephants and tropical plants, with a view out to the street. Two thought the window counter suits solo diners; one noted the inner tables can be pushed together for groups.
- Three posts call the food hot — the pad kaphrao pork 'sneakily spicy', the morning glory hotter than expected. Two call it salty: one found the seasoning strong overall, another found the morning glory salty but the crab fried rice bland, so the two balanced. Two posts note chilli flakes on every table to adjust heat.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
1 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
Floor: the address says ground floor, but no post describes the floor from experience. That isn't evidence there's no basement or upstairs seating — nobody mentioned it.
We don't know whether there's a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in — no one said. One post did mention something fixed under the table that kept knocking their legs.
No post says where the toilet is or whether it's split by gender. We don't know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 8 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- One post, from opening night, says no alcohol is sold. Nobody has said whether that changed. Posts about the Ilsan branch mention beer, but that's a different shop.
- One post covers the walk from the subway: between Ttukseom and Seongsu stations, easy enough from either. The restaurant's own post says about 500 m from Seongsu Exit 1, but that's the shop's claim. Nobody mentioned buses.
- Who people came with doesn't settle into a pattern: two came with a spouse or partner, one with their mother, one with a friend, and one drove. No one said they went alone.
- Opening hours: three posts agree on 11:00–21:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break, but all three copied them from a map card or info block, and only one says daily. No Seongsu post gives a last order time or a closing day; the Ilsan branch's Monday–Tuesday closure doesn't apply here.
- Prices are known for only four dishes (11,000–13,000 won, September 2026); one post said most dishes are around 10,000-something won. Nobody gave Seongsu prices for tom yum, green curry or pad kaphrao, or what a whole meal cost.
- The phone number 02-466-9138 appears in two posts, one of them the restaurant's own. Nobody said whether it takes reservations.
