Mugong Donkkaseu Seongsu Emart-jeom

무공돈까스 성수이마트점 Mugong (無空) reads as 'no emptiness' — the chain's own slogan, painted on the sign, is 'no empty stomach'.

A branch of a cutlet chain on Ttukseom-ro in Seongsu-dong 2-ga, an 8-10 minute walk from Seongsu Station. You order at the kiosk by the door, collect your tray from the pickup counter when your number is called, help yourself to kimchi, pickled radish and soup at the self-serve bar, and return the tray when done. The signature Mugong cutlet, a cordon bleu stuffed with cheese and vegetables, is 12,000 won; the classic cutlet is 10,000 won; each comes on a tray with rice, salad and jjolmyeon noodles. We read 30 posts from March 2025 to September 2026: 25 are about this branch, and 24 of those are first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Of 18 posts that mentioned portions, 15 said they were large: too much for one person, food left over, three dishes too many for two. One post found the classic cutlet small for 10,000 won, and another ran short of rice and paid 1,000 won for an extra bowl.
  2. Of 14 posts that talked about price, 9 called it cheap and none called it expensive. One noted how hard it is to eat for 12,000 won in Seongsu.
  3. Of 14 posts that described ordering, 8 mention the kiosk; one counts two at the entrance, and another advises checking for a free seat before ordering at busy times. Two compared the setup to a motorway rest stop or a food court.
  4. Six posts mention a free drink for posting a receipt review; one adds that you can't choose and it is always pineapple Tamz Zero.
3 more
  1. Eight posts describe the seating: counter and single seats, two-tops, four-tops and group tables. Four called the room spacious. One was seated at a cramped two-top and skipped a side dish for lack of space.
  2. Six posts found the batter crisp; one said the classic cutlet's coating was soggy and fell away, and left it unfinished. Thickness splits two to two: two called the meat thick, two said it was not.
  3. Four posts mention heat, mostly from the extras rather than the cutlet: the stir-fried kimchi on the rice, the jjolmyeon, the octopus rice bowl, and the spicy classic cutlet.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 1 (of 24 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 1 (of 24 posts read)

Only one post said, from its own visit, that the shop is on the ground floor; the rest only repeat the address.

No post says whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That is unknown, not a no.

Only one post mentions the toilet: it is just out the back of the shop, so outside the dining room. Nobody said whether it is split by gender or how big it is.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Friendliness splits two to two. Two posts found the owner kind; one (September 2026) felt police officers were treated better than other customers, and another (November 2025) found a hair in the food, was refused a refund, and got a belated apology.
  • No post describes queuing. Lunch is busy, though: one arrived at 11:40 on a weekday to find it nearly full, another says it is always full at lunchtime, and a third advises checking for a seat before ordering. The one post that found it quiet went on a day there was a football match.
  • Many posts call it a good place to eat alone, but only one clearly says they went alone. Three went with friends, two in a group of coworkers, and one with a sister.
  • Six posts give the same hours: Monday to Saturday 11:00-21:00, break 15:00-17:00, last order 20:30, closed Sundays. Three of those copy an info block rather than reporting a visit.
  • Two posts give the phone number as 02-462-9090. Nobody says whether reservations are taken.
  • It is a chain branch: three posts say so outright and two guess as much. Two posts about the Uiwang and Jinju branches were left out. Two posts note that the Seongsu E-mart in the name has since closed.
