MAYA
마야 Maya Maya refers to the ancient Maya civilization — the dining room is dressed as a stone cave with carved walls, hunting trophies and a central fire.

Maya is a pasta, omurice and steak restaurant on the second floor of a building on Yeonmujang 3-gil in Seongsu-dong. It is registered as a South/Southeast Asian restaurant, but all twelve visits describe an Italian place. Nearly every post opens with the room itself: a Maya-civilization theme with stone walls, a central fire and hunting trophies, starting on the staircase. The most-ordered dish is the swirl omurice topped with a hamburg steak (eleven posts, 18,500 won); seven posts ordered it together with the jambon pasta (20,000 won) and the roasted napa cabbage salad (14,000 won). We read 27 posts dated April 10 to October 4, 2026. Fifteen were about other Mayas, mostly the Maya mall in Chiang Mai, and were set aside; the remaining twelve (April to September 2026) are all first-hand visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The jambon pasta is a cream pasta with heat. Five of the seven posts that ordered it called it spicy, from peperoncino and miso, and six said the cream did not feel heavy.
- There is no handed-out menu. You scan a QR code at the table to browse and order, as four posts describe, and one adds that you pay on the way out.
- Leave a receipt or photo review and you get ice cream. Three posts received it: one got chocolate ice cream with two Couque d'Asse wafers, another got ice cream topped with nuts.
- It is an easy subway trip. Eight posts place it between Seongsu and Ttukseom stations. Two put it five minutes' walk from Seongsu Exit 4 and one says ten; one also names Ttukseom Exit 5.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
8 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 6 of 12 posts |
|---|
You reach the dining room by climbing stairs to the second floor. Six posts mention the climb, and two say the stairwell itself is themed, with water or jungle sounds playing on the way up.
No one mentions an entrance step, an elevator, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Posts only describe walking up the stairs. That does not mean there is no elevator; nobody said.
We cannot tell whether the restroom is inside the restaurant. One post says it sits right at the top of the stairs and shows the restaurant door after it. No one says whether it is split by gender. Two posts call the restroom clean.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Seven of the twelve visits (April to July 2026) ordered the same three dishes and repeat the same phrases in the same order: reclaimed wood and Maya civilization, stones and moss under glass by the windows, sauces ground fresh daily, groups of up to 26. Only two of those seven disclose sponsorship, one as a paid post and one as a free meal. Two posts say they paid their own way.
- No post gives a wait in minutes. One saw a line form during a lunch visit, and one booked ahead for a weekend lunch and walked straight in. The waitlist runs through the Tabling app.
- Ten posts agree the hours are 11:30 to 21:00, with no break on weekends. The weekday break differs: five posts say 15:00 to 16:30 and four say 15:30 to 16:30, and all four belong to the look-alike group above. Four posts give last order at 20:00 and four say it closes only on Chuseok and Lunar New Year's Day.
- Prices: jambon pasta 20,000 won, omurice 18,500, napa cabbage salad 14,000, unchanged between the April and July 2026 posts. One post gives the steak at 36,000. The only full bill is a family of five who paid 136,000 won for two steaks, two pastas, an omurice and two colas. No one called it expensive, and two posts said the prices were fair.
- Six posts list the same phone number, 0507-1308-7385. Bookings and the waitlist go through Tabling. Group bookings of up to 26 and full buyouts come from the house's own description; no post tried either.
