KAL
칼 Kal Kal is the Korean word for knife, as in kalguksu (knife-cut noodles); one post notes the KAL sign is drawn as a clam-and-noodle motif.

KAL sits in the Seongsu Silup building at 126 Seongsu-iro, near exit 2 of Seongsu Station, and serves clam kalguksu and chive sujebi. A bowl runs 10,000 to 11,000 won, and every order comes with a small bowl of barley rice under radish salad, plus kimchi. Mung-bean pancake is sold by the full or half plate. Most posts describe it as a weekday lunch spot with a line of office workers. We read 22 posts from October 2024 to July 2026. We set aside 7 of them, which were about Korean Air (KAL), the Seogwipo KAL Hotel, or a Mega Coffee branch. The other 15 are all first-hand visits.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Expect a line at lunch. Of the 11 posts that mention waiting, 8 had to wait. Two describe writing your name on a whiteboard outside the door, and one counts three chairs for people waiting. One writer arrived around 11:30 to find one party ahead, and more than five parties lined up behind them after they got in. The 2 posts that walked straight in came on a Saturday at 12:30 or after the office lunch rush.
- The mung-bean pancake keeps coming up as crisp: 8 posts say so, one comparing its outside to a cracker. An October 2024 post notes that a full plate comes as two pieces rather than one large one, which makes it easy to share. One February 2025 post disagrees: it found the pancake overfried and hard, and left some.
- You order from your seat: 5 posts describe a kiosk or tablet at the table where you order and pay up front. One post says staff took their order while they were still in line, so they never used the kiosk.
- It is a small room. The 6 posts that describe the seating say it is mostly two- and four-person tables. A November 2025 post counted about four two-tops and three tables for three or four; a July 2026 post put it at about 10 seats. One post calls it cramped. A solo diner sat at the last four-top, then moved to a two-top when one opened up.

- Four posts from October 2024 to August 2025 mention free dumplings for writing a review. Later posts don't mention it, and a January 2026 post ordered the dumplings off the menu. We don't know whether the offer has ended.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
We don't know which floor it is on. The address says first floor, but no post describes the floor from a visit. Nobody wrote about it.
We don't know whether the entrance has a step or can take a wheelchair or stroller. That doesn't mean there is a problem; no one wrote about it.
We don't know whether the restroom is inside the shop. Two posts copy "separate men's and women's restrooms" from the listing, but no one describes using it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Prices have gone up. Posts from October 2024 to February 2025 give 10,000 won for the chive sujebi and 9,500 won for clam kalguksu. From August 2025 the sujebi is 11,000 won, and a November 2025 post has the kalguksu at 10,000 won. A full plate of mung-bean pancake went from 9,500 won (October 2024) to 10,000 won (March 2026). No one calls it expensive; 5 posts say it is good value.
- All the opening hours are copied from the shop's listing, and they shift over time. Three October 2024 posts give weekdays 11:00-21:00, Saturday 11:00-15:30 (one says 15:00), closed Sunday. A March 2025 post has weekdays closing at 20:30. From August 2025 posts say it is closed on both Saturday and Sunday. A January 2026 post gives 11:00-20:00 with weekends off, and a March 2026 post gives Monday to Friday 11:00-15:00. We can't tell from the posts whether dinner service has stopped. Every post that lists a break gives 15:00-17:00.
- The posts don't settle on one kind of company. There is one solo visit, one with a partner, and one with a friend; a few others went with a spouse or coworkers.
- Seven posts list the same phone number, 0507-1368-7040. One October 2024 post copies "reservations" from the listing, but no one says they actually booked.
