CAN&CORK

캔앤코르크 Kaen-aen-koreukeu Can & Cork — the shop sells wine (the cork) alongside tinned foods from around the world (the can), and serves the tins as plates to go with the wine.

Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →

A wine bottle shop and bar on the second floor of a building right by Seongsu Station exit 2. You pick a bottle off the shelves and drink it there, with plates built from the tins the shop also sells — smoked oysters, cod liver, sardines — served with crackers and cheese. Posted prices: kimchi fried rice and the black-bean cup-noodle dish at 9,000 won, the smoked Tongyeong oyster platter at 15,000 won. Posts from August 2026 on describe a 10,000-won per-person charge to drink in, including a welcome glass of sparkling; February–March posts describe 15,000-won corkage per bottle instead. One writer went to the opening party on 27 September 2025. We read 30 posts dated 10 November 2025 to 21 September 2026; 27 describe a visit.

Rows without a count: 2 of 8 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Of 17 posts that discussed price, 14 said it was not expensive, because the wine is poured at bottle-shop prices — one put it at 3,000 to 8,000 won below a chain wine store or a convenience store. One post disagreed: a year-end group ran up 966,100 won and warned that coming here for a full meal gets very expensive, since the plates are small.
  2. Four posts describe a discount they actually got. Three are the 1–4 pm happy hour, buy one glass get one free (March, June and September 2026), and one notes it runs on weekends too. The fourth had corkage waived during a February 2026 event.
  3. Thirteen posts say the owner or staff were kind, mostly about being matched to a wine — two bottles suggested within a stated budget, or a white picked to go with fruit and seafood. Two writers say tins bought to take home came with handwritten serving and pairing notes.
  4. Seating is limited; six posts say the room is small. Those who described it list a two-seat window counter, one large table for up to five, and bar seats facing the open kitchen. Two August 2026 writers found it nearly full (one at about 6 pm) and took the window seats.
3 more
  1. Four posts mention the windows and daylight; two say the window seats look out on Seongsu Station and passing trains.
  2. There is outdoor seating on the building's second-floor deck: three posts call it a terrace, one a rooftop. None of the writers actually sat outside — summer and winter posts alike said they would come back when the weather turns.
  3. Each table gets a paper cover to draw on, with crayons. The one post written by a parent says the owner brought coloured pencils and the child spent the visit drawing their own menu.

Parking

1 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

Posts saying you cannot1 of 27 posts

There is no parking of its own. The one writer who dealt with it advised a public car park about ten minutes' walk away rather than the side-street spaces. Other posts copy the shop's notes about the neighbouring Yeongdong Techno Tower car park (500 won per 10 minutes) and a 5,000-won weekend-evening pass at Olive Young N Seongsu; we didn't count those as first-hand.

Getting inside

Separate restroomsyes 2 · no 1 (of 27 posts read)

The shop is upstairs. Eleven posts describe going up to the second floor, several by stairs. No one mentioned a lift, a step at the door, or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair — that means we don't know, not that there is none.

Posts disagree on the toilets. One March 2026 post says a single shared toilet inside the shop; two August 2026 posts say the women's is inside and the men's is elsewhere on the building's second floor. We can't tell whether it changed. Nobody mentioned an accessible toilet.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No one wrote about waiting. One post found seats easily on a weekday afternoon, and another found it quiet on a weekend evening. Five posts booked ahead through CatchTable. We don't know whether there is a queue at busy times.
  • Opening hours have changed. Posts up to 8 June 2026 give 12:30 on weekdays and 13:00 at weekends, closing at 22:00 (one adds last orders at 21:20). From 22 June, posts give 13:00 every day with Friday and Saturday open until 23:00 — though one says Thursday to Saturday and another Wednesday to Friday. Every post that mentions it says closed on Tuesdays. All of this is copied from the shop's listings.
  • The charge for drinking in has changed. February–March 2026 posts describe 15,000-won corkage per bottle bought in the shop; four posts from August on describe a 10,000-won per-person fee that includes a welcome glass of sparkling. A January 2026 post mentions a separate table charge without knowing the amount. The smoked oyster platter was about 13,000 won in March and 15,000 won in September; we can't tell if that is the same plate or a price rise.
  • Six posts list the phone number 070-7543-0926. Everyone who booked used CatchTable; no one mentioned booking by phone. One post says walk-ins are fine.
