A Chinese restaurant half a floor below street level in a side lane off Ttukseom-ro, a fair walk from Seongsu Station. People come for hongroupan (13,000 won), beef noodle soup (12,000 won), dim sum and cereal shrimp, sit at a central bar or the tables around it, and order and pay on a tablet at each seat. We read 30 posts dated 19 June to 1 October 2026; 18 of them describe eating here. Eleven were about Sushi Koyu, the omakase upstairs in the same building, and were set aside. One post says the restaurant moved here from an earlier location.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Five posts walked straight in: a rainy Saturday evening right at opening, a weekday around 1 pm, a Friday at 6:30 pm with hardly anyone inside, a late weekday evening, and one that simply found it uncrowded. One post had a single party ahead of them at lunch. There is a CatchTable waitlist kiosk at the door.
- Seating is built around a U-shaped central bar with tables along the sides. Six posts described the seating; five of them say there are tables as well as the bar. How many is disputed: one post counts only one or two four-person tables, another four or five. The first recommends coming alone or as a pair rather than in a group.
- Three posts say you order and prepay on a tablet at your seat; one calls it perfect for introverts. One post notes that a nutty tea is served instead of water.
- It is a walk. Three posts mention the distance from Seongsu Station; one timed it at 15 minutes from exit 3 and nearly gave up in the heat. No post describes a bus route.
2 more
- Six posts came with friends and one with a group of four, who wished they had ordered more. Nobody wrote about eating alone, though one post noticed plenty of solo diners.
- Three posts single out the juice in the dumplings: the zhengjiao squirts on the first bite, the potstickers are full of broth, and the truffle shumai bursts.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | 3 of 16 posts |
|---|
All three posts that describe the entrance say you go down: half a floor down, a semi-basement feel, and windows at the level of passers-by's legs. The registered address is basement level 1. Nobody said how many steps there are.
Nobody wrote about a step at the door, stairs, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — only that you go half a floor down. That is an absence of reports, not a confirmation either way.
No post says where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender. The toilet notes in the Sushi Koyu posts upstairs are not about this place.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 17 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Seasoning is split one to one: one post found the hongroupan and noodles on the salty side, another found the noodle soup just right.
- The restaurant has moved. An August 2026 post says it used to be right in front of the writer's office, and that the new place is roomier but has few four-person tables. Nobody gave the old address or the date of the move. One post recalls a visit last year, and we cannot tell which location that was.
- All opening hours are copied info, but they agree: six posts give 11:30-21:00 with a 15:00-17:00 break, five say closed Mondays, four give last orders at 14:30 and 20:30. Visits we can time were a Friday at 6:30 pm and a Saturday evening at opening. The 10:00-21:00 hours in Sushi Koyu posts belong to the place upstairs.
- We only know menu prices: beef noodles 12,000 won, shumai 7,000, gulaorou 21,000, a yanmai drink 7,500. No post gives a total bill; the one comment on value calls the prices reasonable. On portions, one post found them modest and another not small.
- Two posts list the phone number 070-4153-2727. Nobody said whether reservations are taken — only that there is a CatchTable waitlist at the door. Sushi Koyu upstairs is reservation-only, but it is a different restaurant.
- One visit was posted twice on two blogs in nearly identical words; we counted it once.
