A hand-cut noodle shop at 290 Gwangnaru-ro in Seongsu-dong 2-ga, across from the Seongdong tax office. Kalguksu, kaljebi and sujebi come in a doenjang-based broth for 9,000 won a bowl, or 12,000 won as a set with two steamed dumplings. Nine posts say extra noodles and rice are free. We read 20 posts from November 30, 2024 to September 7, 2026; 18 describe an actual visit. A March 2025 post noted prices had gone up 1,000 won and the dumpling set was new since the writer's previous visit.

Rows without a count: 5 of 10 posts.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Kimchi is self-served or refilled; four posts say so. One describes it arriving in a small crock to take from as needed, another says the writer went back for more about four times. Several posts note that kimchi, with a chopped chili paste, is the only side.
  2. Six posts call it cheap and none call it expensive. One marvels at a bowl this size for 9,000 won in Seongsu; the March 2025 post said it was still good value despite the 1,000-won rise. Two posts found the portions large.
  3. Many are repeat customers: six posts mention earlier visits, including one writer who has come since childhood, one who eats alone here on late-work nights, and one who goes after work to avoid the lunch crowd.

Getting inside

No post described the floor from experience; only the address says ground floor.

We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; no post mentioned it.

No post said where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 17 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Seating is tight: two posts say the tables are packed close together, and none describe the room as roomy.
  • Posts disagree on getting there: two found it easy by public transport (on a main road, one bus ride), two said it is far from the subway, and one advised taking a local bus because Seongsu Station is a long walk. The 745 m distance from exit 2 appears only in a copied info block.
  • Waiting is unclear: one post says there is a queue at lunch and one guesses lunch might be a little busy. No post gave a waiting time.
  • Ten posts list opening hours, all in copied info blocks: mostly 10:30-20:30 with a 15:00-16:00 break and Sundays off. Five say Saturday closes at 15:00, two give the same hours Monday through Saturday, one puts the break end at 16:30, and one headline claims there is no break at all.
  • Prices have changed: a March 2025 post noted a 1,000-won rise, and posts from May 2025 to April 2026 consistently give 9,000 won a bowl and 12,000 won for the set. No post recorded the earlier price.
  • Two posts give different phone numbers (02-462-4389 and 02-462-4839). Bookings are mentioned only in a copied block, so we don't know whether you can reserve.
