Heavy Steak Seongsu is a chain steak shop on the ground floor of 38 Yeonmujang-gil, a few minutes' walk from Seongsu Station exit 4. Steaks come sizzling on an iron plate with corn, onion and rice; posts list steaks from 9,900 won (chicken), regular beef steak at 14,500, and rice bowls from 8,500–8,900. You order on a tablet or kiosk at your seat, and much of the seating is a bar along the wall, so plenty of people eat alone. In September 2026 the shop added three pork steaks (13,900 each) and then the Mega Chicken Mayo bowl (8,900). We read 23 posts dated 22 August to 5 October 2026; 18 describe an actual visit. Three were about other places (the Seoul Nat'l Univ. and Gangnam branches, and the wine bar upstairs) and were dropped; two only mention the shop.

What sets it apart
- Posts agree the prices are easy. 16 of the 18 visits call it cheap. Actual bills: 42,900 won for two (gochujang pork steak and a large beef steak), 'around 60,000' for a family of three with three steaks and a chicken-mayo bowl, and 19,500 for one set with sausage and pineapple. One post went the other way — felt the money was wasted and left the steak unfinished.
- Ten posts say the portions are large. One couple couldn't finish a sausage topping after the chicken-mayo bowl; another shared one large steak and found it plenty. Nobody found the rice skimpy; one called it generous.
- You order from your seat: six posts used a table tablet or seat kiosk, and one notes a QR code on the tablet lets you order from your phone. Salt, pepper, fresh wasabi, wholegrain mustard and steak sauce sit at every place.
- Bar seating dominates but isn't the only option: four posts mention tables for two to four alongside the wall bar. Five say the room is small, and four point out baskets or space under the chairs for bags.

- Waiting depends on the hour. Three posts report a line and one is unclear. One couple took a number on a weekday evening but got in quickly; another walked straight in at weekday lunch but remembered waiting on an earlier evening visit; a third saw a waitlist board at the door even at 2 pm. One walked in early in the evening and says the line starts around seven. Nobody gave a wait in minutes.
- Four posts note many foreign customers — one says about half the room that day — and one saw the owner and staff patiently walking foreign guests through the menu.

Only one post mentions the floor — street level on the main road. The '1F' in copied address blocks we did not count.
Nobody said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. That is unknown, not a no. Bear in mind the toilet is outside the building.
The toilet is not inside the shop. Two posts say it is outside the building; one adds that directions and the door code are posted inside, so check before you step out. Nobody said whether it is split by gender or how big it is.

Of the 19 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Five posts call the meat thick, five juicy, one free of off-smell. One post disagreed: parts were chewy, and the sour sauce drowned the meat.
- Only one post went with children; it found the casual room easy, but nobody mentioned high chairs or changing tables.
- Fifteen posts give hours, all copied from listings. Ten agree on 11:00–21:00 weekdays and 11:00–21:30 weekends, with last orders mostly 20:30 weekdays and 21:00 weekends. Five differ (daily 11:00–21:30, daily 11:00–21:00, daily 11:30–21:00, late closing from Friday). One says no afternoon break, one says open every day.
- Eight posts give the phone number 02-6338-3309; one lists 0507-1324-2233 instead. On booking, one post copied 'no reservations, no parking'; nobody tried to book. The door has a waitlist board where you write your name.
- Many visit posts share a template. Five from 6–16 September pitch the pork steaks with the same '13,900 won, cheaper than a serving of pork belly' line; nine from 18 September to 5 October push the Mega Chicken Mayo with identical phrases. Only one discloses sponsorship and one hints at a reviewer program; the rest say nothing. The single post that says it paid its own way was the harshest on the steak.
