하츠베이커리 Beikeori is simply 'bakery'; none of the posts explains the name 'Hacheu' (the shop's Instagram handle spells it hazbakery).

Hats Bakery sits on Yeonmujang-gil in Seongsu: you buy on the ground floor and can eat upstairs. The draw is the sand bagel, a bagel stuffed thickly with cream and seasonal fruit, priced in the posts from 8,300 won to 15,800 won; it also sells chewy buns, mammoth bread, red-bean buns, chili salt bread and egg tarts. Most people queue, then take their haul away in a cooler bag. We read 30 posts published between 25 September and 5 October 2026; 25 describe an actual visit, and 2 were set aside as being about neighbouring shops.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- There is almost always a queue: 22 of the 25 visits mention one. Of the 17 posts that give a time, four waited about 10 minutes, two 20, two 20–30, six around 30, two 40 and one 45 — that last arriving at 10:15 before opening with some fifty people ahead. Weekday visits at 4 pm and Monday at 12:30 got in within 10 minutes. Three posts say the small ground floor admits people in small batches, and many add that the line moves faster than it looks because most customers take away.
- Two posts say you can eat upstairs without ordering a drink — one writer asked the staff and was told yes — though one other post says to order a drink and go up, and one says outside food is not allowed. Two posts advise grabbing a seat before joining the queue at weekends.
- Eight posts call it expensive — 'wicked prices', 'really pricey' — with one paying 27,000 won for two bagels and another about 60,000 won for six. Prices for a given item match across posts, except the fruit-basket bagel at 11,900 won on one visit and 12,600 won in another post. Cooler bags with ice packs cost 1,500 won extra and a shopping bag 200 won. Nobody called it cheap.
- Takeaway is the norm: eight posts carried their bagels home. One says a cooler bag holds at most four sand bagels; another was told six need two bags and keep for about two hours. Several freeze them and thaw for about 10 minutes; one notes fruit versions are best eaten fresh or chilled.
2 more
- Flavours run strong: five posts found things too sweet and two found items salty (the yellow-cheese chewy bun and the chili salt bread). Four say one bagel is a full meal. Several, though, found the yogurt and Earl Grey creams not overly sweet.
- Company is mixed: five posts went with a partner or husband, five with friends, two with family (one with a child), and three drove. Six were repeat visits, one writer on their fifth.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Buying and eating happen on different floors. Three posts place the queue and till on the ground floor, and six say they ate, or could eat, upstairs. One counted a shared table for eight, about eight four-seat and two two-seat tables on the second floor, with the third floor closed off; another says you go back outside and climb stairs to reach it. Plates, cutlery, wet wipes and a microwave are provided.
No one says whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller fits. One post says the seating is reached by going outside and up stairs; no one mentions a lift. Several note the alley and ground floor are narrow.
No visitor describes the toilets; 'toilet inside' appears only in one copied info block.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Whether it feels roomy depends on the floor: two posts call the ground floor cramped, two call the upstairs seating spacious, and one says both.
- One writer mentions visiting 'before the move', another says the shop was renovated into a three-floor space. No one gives the old address or the date; every post we read is about the current address.
- Popular bagels sell out early: one writer found only three kinds left at 4 pm, another came after 6:40 pm and left empty-handed. Two posts mention second and third batches, with restocks noted at 4:30 pm and 1:30 pm. The day's line-up is posted on the shop's Instagram.
- Opening hours of 10:30–20:30 daily appear in ten posts, but nearly all copy a standard info block; only one writer saw it open at exactly 10:30. Two copy a 20:00 last order and three 'no days off'. One post found it open on Chuseok day.
- Reservations don't appear to be possible: one post says it is walk-in queue only. The phone number 0507-1410-9707 is copied in three posts; no one reports calling it.
- The '4–5 minutes from Seongsu Station exit 4' line is copied info; no visitor describes the trip by subway or bus. That's an absence of reports, not a problem.
