Gangbyeol Beureonchiwa Wain
강별 브런치와 와인 Gangbyeol joins gang (river) and byeol (star); the house's menu card says it is named for the stars seen from the Han River on a cherished day.

A set-menu restaurant on the ground floor of 8 Ttukseom-ro 9-gil in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. It shares a name with Gangbyeol Seongsu on the third floor of the same building, but posts describe the two as separate places with their own chefs and bookings. One June 2026 post says the ground floor is now run by chef Kim Hyeon-yu; no post has visited since, so we do not know the current menu or prices. Five posts from December 2024 to November 2025 ate chef Park Jae-beom's lunch course (one without naming the chef): amuse-bouches, bread, cauliflower gangjeong, beef-cheek ragu pasta, Iberico steak (Hanwoo sirloin for 29,000 won more) and a lettered dessert, served on platters to share. Four posts give the lunch price as 58,000 won. Before that, one October 2024 post found a 39,000 won brunch course with chicken steak, and à la carte dishes with wine in the evening. We read 30 posts from October 2024 to June 2026 and counted the 6 that visited the ground floor; the 13 posts about the third-floor Gangbyeol Seongsu were left out.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- A small, quiet room. Four posts called it quiet. An April 2025 post counted just five tables; a November 2025 post noted there is no counter seating and no private room, everyone eats in one hall, but the tables are well spaced. A September 2025 post said the space is small but the full-height windows keep it open.
- Five posts called the staff kind, and said why: coats were taken at the door (April 2025); the chef visited each table before the meal to ask about allergies and came back afterwards (December 2024); asked to fit a one-hour lunch break, the kitchen ran a course ahead of other tables and finished on time (November 2025).
- One post found the portions large, saying it was filling up by the pasta. Another ate well but thought a companion was still hungry. No post called the portions small.
- No post called it expensive; four said the price was reasonable or easy on the wallet. A September 2025 post listed 116,000 won for lunch for two, plus an 8,000 won lemonade and a 10,000 won alcohol-free sangria.
1 more
- One November 2025 post said sword-bean tea was served as a welcome drink and refilled throughout.

Parking

There is no parking. Four of the six ground-floor posts said the restaurant has nowhere to park, and two of them pointed to the private lot at Ace High-end Seongsu Tower a minute's walk away. No post said parking was available.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 3 (of 6 posts read) |
|---|
It is on the ground floor; three posts said they went in at street level. The stairs and missing lift that third-floor posts mention belong to the third floor.
None of the six ground-floor posts said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in. That means unknown, not absent.
No post said whether the ground floor has its own toilet or separate men's and women's rooms. The toilets in third-floor posts are on the third floor.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 12 posts we gathered, 6 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- We left out 13 posts about the third-floor Gangbyeol Seongsu (chef Oh Jeong-jin, chef Cha Han-byeol in 2026); their bar seats, private room, in-house toilets and lack of a lift describe that floor. One ground-floor post names no chef; we placed it from the dishes and its note that there is no private room. Three posts that visited without saying which floor were not counted.
- The ground-floor chef has changed. A June 2026 post says Park Jae-beom ran it at the time of the visit but Kim Hyeon-yu runs it now; another post that month heard Park was taking leave. The course and prices above all date from Park's time, December 2024 to November 2025.
- No post mentions waiting. Three booked ahead through CatchTable or Naver; we do not know what happens if you walk in.
- Only two posts said who they came with: one with a boyfriend, one with a mother. We do not know how it suits a group of friends or children.
- No two posts give the same opening hours: daily 11:55–22:00 (April 2025), daily 11:55–21:30 (September), 11:30–21:30 (November); only the 15:45–18:00 break appears twice. All three are copied info boxes and may be the building-wide Gangbyeol Seongsu listing. The October 2024 brunch-era post gave 12:00–24:00 with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, which we did not carry over.
- Prices may have moved. An April 2025 post said lunch would rise from 58,000 to 65,000 won and dinner from 95,000 to 105,000 won on 9 April, yet the three later posts all wrote 58,000 won for lunch. We do not know prices since the 2026 chef change.
- Only one October 2024 post gives a ground-floor phone number, 0507-1399-7277; the 0507-1377-0548 in other posts belongs to the third-floor listing. Posts booked through CatchTable or Naver.
- Corkage is unclear: a copied info box in a December 2024 post says corkage-free, while a November 2025 post says corkage is charged. Both are listing details, so we did not count them.
