BakeryCafe

onion

어니언 Eonieon Onion is simply the English word for the vegetable, written in Korean letters; none of the posts explains why the cafe chose it.

A bakery cafe on Achasan-ro 9-gil near exit 2 of Seongsu Station: you pick bread, pay, order coffee and sit inside or out. We read 30 posts from 5 September to 5 October 2026; only 8 describe an actual visit to this branch (the rest are about the Myeongdong, Anguk and Mia branches, other shops, or roundup lists). The only price a visitor gave is 14,000 won for two breads; what people had was bread such as pandoro, roe baguette and salt bread, with americano or latte.

What sets it apart

  1. The queue is at the till, not the door. Three posts mention it: one waited a long time to pay, one found the order line very long, and one turned around on seeing the line. One post also says the coffee took a while after ordering. No one recorded how many minutes.
  2. Three posts say most customers were foreign tourists, one estimating eight in ten were Japanese, another ninety percent. A claim that Japanese travel forums recommend it was hearsay and we did not count it.
  3. There is outdoor seating: two posts mention it, one describing a former courtyard full at every table and a very large rooftop up a flight of stairs. The same post notes charging cables along the long tables in the main hall.

We don't know which floors have seating. The address says floors 1 and 2, but no visitor described the floors.

No one wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access; one post only says the rooftop is reached by stairs.

No one said whether the toilets are inside the cafe or outside it.

Two posts indicate separate men's and women's toilets; one says the women's has only two stalls so there is a line, another complains the men's toilet is visible from outside.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 17 posts we gathered, 10 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-09-162 posts in one day
2026-09-142 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • One post stands apart: an evening visitor smelled something like mould near the coffee bar and said they would not return. Other visitors did not mention any smell.
  • Only one visitor wrote about walking from exit 2 of Seongsu Station; the two-minute and 137 m figures are copied from listings.
  • Only one visitor post gives hours, copied from a listing: weekdays 08:00–22:00, weekends 09:00–22:00, last order 21:30. Several roundups repeat this, but one says weekends open at 10:00. Only one roundup mentions closing days, saying none.
  • Visitors rarely gave prices: one paid 14,000 won for two breads and said breads start around 3,000 and mostly run 4,000–6,000 won. Menu prices copied in a promotional post (americano and pandoro 5,000 won) and a roundup (5,500 and 6,000 won) disagree.
  • Two phone numbers appear: 0507-1386-3238 in two posts and 070-4353-3238 in two copies of one promotional post. No post says whether bookings are taken.
  • Some posts titled as visits were not counted: one store-music company's text appears on two blogs, and one self-paid review contains only a price and hours table. We treated these as copied material.
