Bao Seoul is a Taiwanese restaurant at 110 Yeonmujang-gil, Seongdong-gu (ground floor, unit 103). It serves bao — Taiwanese steamed-bun sandwiches — along with beef noodle soup and dongpo pork rice bowls. Posts list the classic bao at 12,000 won, the rice bowl at 15,000 and the noodle soup at 17,000, and many describe two people sharing all three. We read 30 posts dated September 15 to October 5, 2026; 18 describe eating here. Nine were about other places and three were roundup lists, so we did not count them. Three posts mention a second branch in Chungmuro; this page is the Seongsu shop.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The room is small: five posts said so and none called it spacious. Seating is mixed, though — five posts describe two-tops, four-tops and a bar counter together, and one sat at the counter facing the kitchen on a weekday evening when every table was full. One post warned that larger groups may have to split up.
- You order on a tablet at the table; five posts said so, and some noted it also shows how to eat the dishes, such as how to mix the rice bowl. Two posts said food came out quickly.
- Waiting depends on timing. Four posts waited — a full room with a line at weekday lunch, just one group ahead at lunch, a shorter line than usual on a rainy day, a short wait at peak time. Two were seated right away, one of them at the tail end of a weekday lunch with the room nearly full. Two only said there might be a wait. No post gave a wait time in minutes.
- Two posts booked ahead. One reserved an 11:30 a.m. table on Naver the day before, paid a 30,000-won deposit, and had it refunded on arrival; the same post said the door opened at 11:30 sharp and not a minute earlier. Two posts suggested CatchTable's remote queue for walk-ins.
2 more
- It is a walk from Seongsu Station: seven posts said so. Three put it at about 10 minutes from Exit 3, one at 5–10 minutes, and several said you reach it by following Yeonmujang-gil.
- Three posts said the kitchen is open to the room. Beer is sold as well: three posts saw draft beer, Tsingtao and Chinese spirits, or Taiwanese mango beer.

Parking
2 posts say you cannot park. None say you can.

There is no parking at the shop. Two posts said so and both pointed to the paid lot at the Seongsu A1 knowledge-industry center, two minutes' walk away (first 20 minutes free, then 1,000 won per 10 minutes). Other posts' 'no parking' lines were copied info blocks, which we did not count.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
7 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No post described the floor or any steps from experience; only the address says ground floor. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is nothing to know.
No one wrote about a step at the entrance or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Five posts did say the room is small.
No post described where the restroom is. One post's 'separate men's and women's restrooms' came from a copied info block, so we did not count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 19 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opinions on seasoning split: two posts found things salty (the noodle soup, the pickles on the rice bowl), three did not (the bao and rice bowl 'not salty at all'; a companion found the noodle soup bland). They were talking about different dishes, so we can't settle it.
- Twelve posts gave opening hours, all copied from info blocks. Eleven say 11:30–21:00 and one says 11:00–21:00. Last order is 20:20 in seven and 20:00 in two. Only one post said there is no closing day. One post confirmed first-hand that the door opens at 11:30.
- Two posts gave what a meal cost: a bao and a rice bowl came to 27,000 won, and the two-person set (bao, noodle soup, rice bowl and a drink) to about 46,000. Other prices are menu prices.
- Four posts (two titled as self-paid) reproduce the shop's own blurb word for word — chefs from the CIA and Le Cordon Bleu, opened in 2022, good for friends, dates and work dinners. We treat that as the shop's claim, not evidence. One post disclosed it was sponsored.
