Bakdwaejang Seongsu-jeom
박돼장 성수점 Bak is a common Korean family name and dwae- comes from dwaeji, pig — the name announces a pork house; Seongsu-jeom means the Seongsu branch.

Bakdwaejang Seongsu is a charcoal pork grill a few minutes' walk from Exit 1 of Seongsu Station, filling both floors of a small building on Achasan-ro 7-gil. The draw is a board of five cuts — belly, neck, jowl, rib-finger and loin cap — and 21 posts ordered the small 450 g board at 48,000 won. Stews and noodles are 7,000 won each, and weekday lunch brings 11,000-won rice sets. We read 30 posts from 8 May to 23 September 2026; 28 describe eating here. One was about the Busan Hadan branch and was dropped; one only pasted the shop's own blurb and was not counted.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Single cuts come with a three-portion minimum — three posts say so, including a couple who had to order three portions for two. That is why nearly every pair ordered the small mixed board instead. One post notes the lunch sets require at least two orders.
- No post called it expensive; seven said the price was fair or easy on the wallet. One pair listed their bill — small board, kimchi stew, soju and beer — at 65,000 won. From copied menus: medium board (650 g) 68,000 won, large (850 g) 88,000 won, highball 6,500 won. Two posts price the cold spicy noodles at 7,000 won, one at 9,000.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 16 of 27 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 7 (of 27 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 1 of 27 posts |
Most diners are seated upstairs: 16 posts sat on or described the second floor. The ground floor holds the kitchen and two tables, and two posts say the second floor fills first, with the ground floor used only when upstairs is full. Seven posts make clear you enter at street level — there is no basement. Four mention big windows or windows opened to the street.
Nobody wrote about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Seating is mostly upstairs, reached by a short flight of stairs — one post warns to mind the stairs on the way down — and no post mentions a guest lift (one only says food comes up by dumbwaiter). That is silence, not a confirmed absence.
Only one post mentions the restroom: it is inside, so you don't leave the building. Separate men's and women's restrooms appear only in one post's copied listing, which we don't count.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts split 7 to 7 on whether staff grill for you. Two posts from 13–14 May had staff grilling; on 19 May one wrote the service had stopped for lack of staff, and on 21 May another said it had recently switched to self-grilling. Of the twelve posts from 19 May on, seven grilled themselves and five had staff do it — one says staff grill only when the room isn't busy. Those who grilled themselves were told to ask for help if needed. Plan on grilling your own.
- Waiting barely comes up. One post walked straight in around 8 pm on a weekday; another saw a fair number of people waiting outside in the evening. Several say the room filled quickly, but nobody gave a wait time. Two posts booked ahead.
- All opening hours are copied from listings. Posts agree on weekdays 11:30–23:00 with a 15:00–16:30 break and last order at 22:30. Weekends differ: posts through June say 12:00–22:30 on both days, while nine of the eleven posts from 22 July that give weekend hours say Saturday 12:00–22:30 and Sunday 17:00–22:30. Sunday opening seems to have moved later, but no post confirmed it with the shop.
- More than ten posts give the same phone number, 0507-1448-6676, and say reservations go through Naver booking. One post was told tables are limited to two hours.
- Many posts share the same phrases — Korean and Ibérico breeds, being treated like a guest, a highball popular with women and cheaper than elsewhere, ribs with a cult following. They match the shop's own blurb (one post pasted it whole), so we don't treat them as evidence. No post disclosed sponsorship; one said the diner paid.
