OUT OF TIME

아웃오브타임 Autobeutaim Out of Time is the English phrase for having run past the clock; the posts give no further story behind the name.

Out of Time is a cocktail and whisky bar behind a black door on the third floor of 40 Seongsuil-ro 8-gil, in the lane just off Seongsu Station exit 1. It opens at 7 pm according to the hours people copied. You drink classic cocktails or off-menu drinks made to your taste, at the bar or at a table, with snacks such as baked brie and burrata caprese. Only one visit post gave prices: 21,000 and 22,000 won for cocktails, 18,000 won for the brie. We read 18 posts dated 31 August to 5 October 2026. Six record actually drinking here. Eleven were about other places (two about Out of Order, a different restaurant on Achasan-ro) or never mentioned this bar, and one listed it among other bars.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. All six visit posts talk about the bartenders, and the common thread is that you say what you like and they recommend or build a drink around it. One writer said not bitter, not too sweet, and got a Manhattan; her companion asked for something strong and got a dry martini. Another mentioned liking kiwi and got a kiwi cocktail. A third got an espresso martini hand-dripped by a bartender, even though the bar has no espresso machine. A solo visitor wrote that the staff chatted with her. Note that three of the six use the identical phrase "friendly and cheerful service" in the same spot.
  2. Three posts describe the seating, and all three mention the bar counter. Two say there are tables as well, one counting about five or six. One writer arrived right at the 7 pm opening and got what she called the best seat at the bar.
  3. One post says pretzels and crackers came free with the drinks, served in a bowl with a light touch of lemon. Another says the writer was given a small after-drink on the way out.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 2 (of 6 posts read)

It is on the third floor, not underground. Two posts describe getting there. One climbed the stairs from a ground-floor entrance and said the climb was tiring. The other noted that from the street the building looks like a duck restaurant, and the bar is a floor above it on the third floor.

Nobody said whether there is a lift or a step at the door. That does not mean there is none; we just don't know. One post describes walking up the stairs to the third floor.

No post says where the toilet is or whether it is split by gender, so we don't know.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 7 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Only one post speaks from experience about getting there, saying it was easy to find near Seongsu Station. Lines like "140 m from exit 1" or "3 minutes from exit 4" were copied location details, so we didn't count them. One first-time visitor got a little lost looking for the third-floor entrance.
  • No one wrote about waiting. One writer went right at the 7 pm opening in case it got busy, so we can't say whether there's a wait at peak times.
  • The posts don't agree on who to go with: one went with a husband, one with an older sister, one alone, and three don't say clearly. Two others noticed people at the bar drinking on their own.
  • Three posts gave opening hours, all copied from a listing. Two agree: 7 pm to 1 am Monday to Thursday, 7 pm to 2 am Friday and Saturday, 6 pm to midnight Sunday. One lists Friday as closing at 1 am instead. Nobody mentioned a closing day.
  • Only one visit post gave prices: on 3 September 2026, cocktails at 21,000 and 22,000 won and baked brie at 18,000 won. A listing from 21 September copied brie with prunes at 16,000 won and burrata caprese at 15,000 won. That's not enough to say what a typical drink costs.
  • Two phone numbers appear, each once: 0507-1310-8641 in a visit post and 010-6296-8641 in a listing. One post linked to Naver booking.
  • Three of the six visit posts (1 Sep, 3 Sep and 2 Oct 2026) pitch the bar the same way: friendly, cheerful service, good for drinking alone, classic and signature cocktails. None disclose sponsorship, but they may have been written from the same brief.
