Angsim Pumeun Doyaji

앙심품은도야지 Angsim pumeun doyaji means 'a pig nursing a grudge' — doyaji is an old, folksy word for pig.

Compiled from 10 blog posts read in fullSources →

A pork-focused Korean eatery on the roadside opposite Ttukdo Market, at 91 Seongdeokjeong-gil in Seongsu-dong. The draws are pork ribs stir-fried in the kitchen and served on an iron plate (32,000 won for two on the July 2026 menu) and spicy jeyuk (22,000 won for two). The order comes with a spread of side dishes, bean-paste stew and steamed egg, and four posts say the owner brings scorched-rice porridge at the end. Grill cuts are on the menu, but no post ate them. Around summer 2025 the restaurant moved across the street from an old building at No. 74 into a larger space. We read 11 posts from November 2024 to July 2026; four of them are from the old location.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Five posts say the portions are large: one says two grown men can barely finish the rib stir-fry, another that one jeyuk order was enough to split across two tables. One post went back for more side dishes. Many posts list the side dishes at length, down to egg-battered pink sausage.
  2. Four posts describe the ribs or bulgogi as sweet. One says the pork had no gamey smell. On the jeyuk, one post found it spicy and another said even people who can't handle heat could eat it.
  3. Three posts from after the move describe the room as spacious; two call it clean and one found seats easy to get. An old-location post also mentioned a big room, but that was a different building, so we did not count it.

Parking

1 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park1 of 10 posts

There is a single parking spot in front of the new location. One post found it free and parked there; another called parking difficult and suggested the public lot nearby. Anything else about parking was copied from listings.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

No post described which floor it's on from experience; only the address says ground floor.

No one mentioned a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in.

No one said where the restroom is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Posts up to May 2025 are about the old place at No. 74; from August 2025 they are about the new one at No. 91. Three posts say it moved across the street. The hours changed too: two old-location posts say open every day 11:30-22:00, while posts from the new location say closed Sundays, with a mid-afternoon break.
  • Three posts call it good value, all from August 2025 or earlier. A September 2025 post said it isn't cheap. Menu prices rose by 1,000-4,000 won between March 2025 and July 2026, and one post points out that rice is not included with the rib stir-fry and costs 2,000 won extra.
  • Two posts say it's a fair walk from the subway; one suggests taking the bus instead. The '850 m from Seongsu Station exit 3' figure was copied from a listing.
  • No post says they waited at the new location. One mentions hearing that there can be a line, which we did not count. One post from the old location said food was slow at a busy lunch. This doesn't mean there's never a wait, only that no one wrote about waiting.
  • Few posts say who they went with: one went with a group of coworkers, one with three people, one drove. One post saw people eating alone, but no post was by someone eating alone.
  • Four posts from after the move list the same hours: Monday to Saturday 11:30-22:00, break 15:00-17:00, closed Sundays, with two adding last order at 21:30. All four copied these from listings at the top of the post.
  • Four posts give the same phone number, 02-466-8486. No one said whether reservations are taken.
