Akiyama

아키야마 Akiyama (秋山) is Japanese for 'autumn mountain'; one post glosses it as 가을산.

Compiled from 26 blog posts read in fullSources →

Akiyama is an izakaya on the ground floor of the Seongsu APEX Center on Achasan-ro 7na-gil, about 400 m from Seongsu Station exit 2. The walls and ceiling are covered in One Piece, Slam Dunk and Astro Boy figures and posters. In the evening people drink alongside the sashimi platter (38,000–39,000 won), a six-skewer charcoal set (21,000 won), Nagasaki seafood nabe (22,000 won) and sukiyaki (29,000 won); on weekday lunchtimes it serves rice bowls and cutlets for around 10,000 won. Seventeen posts ate the sashimi platter, alone or in a set. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to August 2026; 26 record an actual visit. The other four are neighbourhood lists or write-ups pasted from review counters, and we did not count them.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. Fourteen posts mention the free opening snack of fried tiny dried shrimp, which regulars call saeukkang, plus pickled radish. One noticed a yuzu note in the radish. Two say a refill of the shrimp costs 5,000 won.
  2. Twelve posts walked from the station: about 400 m from Seongsu Station exit 2, which took them five to seven minutes or about ten. One notes the place sits behind an apartment complex and is easy to miss; another was told five minutes but felt it took longer.
  3. Six posts booked ahead. Two 2026 posts got mochiri dofu (10,000–11,000 won on the menu) free for booking; two 2025 posts say it came free for writing a Naver receipt review. One writer noted an anniversary in the booking request and got a complimentary dish.
  4. Eleven posts call the portions large: the sashimi platter came four slices of each fish, the Nagasaki nabe in a bowl far bigger than a naengmyeon bowl. One post that ordered the salmon-and-flatfish plate worried it looked like only a few slices.
4 more
  1. Six posts ordered from a tablet or kiosk at the table; one notes you can order and pay there in one go.
  2. Three posts say single skewers have a minimum order: 'from five' and 'two or more' in 2025; in March 2026, five kinds or the six-skewer set to start, then at least two per extra order. One post felt that made single skewers (5,500 won each) poor value.
  3. Two posts say evening orders must include at least one main dish. Both also mention a drink rule, but only one says it is per table, so we did not count it.
  4. Eight posts went with friends and two with a spouse. Several describe a crowd of office workers after hours.

The most ordered dish is Akiyama modeum sashimi (아키야마 모듬사시미) — 17 of 26 posts.

Parking

3 posts say you can park; 1 say you cannot. We leave the disagreement standing rather than picking a side.

Posts saying you can park3 of 26 posts
Posts saying you cannot1 of 26 posts

Parking is disputed. Many posts copy the same notice: the building's basement car park is free for 30 minutes at lunch and 90 minutes in the evening, then 3,000 won per 30 minutes. Three posts write as if they used it; one (March 2025) says you have to use a public car park nearby.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 6 (of 26 posts read)
Toilet insideyes 0 · no 2 (of 26 posts read)

Six posts say it is on the building's ground floor. None mention going down to a basement or climbing stairs.

No post describes the entrance step or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair. Two posts include a line saying it is wheelchair accessible, but that is copied from the listing, so we did not count it. That doesn't mean access is poor; no visitor wrote about it.

Two posts say the toilet is inside the building rather than the shop, and both found it close and easy. One photo caption saying it is 'located inside' could mean either, so we left it unclear. One post found it clean. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in copied listing info.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • No post describes actually queuing. Two were seated straight away, one at opening time and one on a Friday evening in March 2025. One guessed there would be a wait once it filled up just after 6 pm on a weekday, and others found it full around 7 pm. How long a wait might be, we don't know.
  • Prices vary between posts. Six give the sashimi platter as 38,000 won and three as 39,000 won, with no pattern by date. Six posts call it good value and two call it expensive, one about the drinks (Cass at 6,000 won) and one about single skewers at 5,500 won. One pair spent almost 150,000 won.
  • You can bring your own bottle, but there is a fee. One post brought sake from home and paid 15,000 won corkage, unsure whether it is per bottle.
  • Opening hours have changed. Posts from January to April 2025 say it opened at 11:30 Tuesday to Friday and closed at midnight; posts from February 2026 say it opens at 11:10 and stays open to 00:30 on Thursdays and Fridays. Even among 2026 posts, Tuesday–Wednesday closing splits: midnight in four posts from February to June, 00:30 in four from June to August. One post says it does lunch on Mondays; seven say Monday opens at 17:00. Eight give the break as 14:00–17:00 and one as 15:00–17:00. All agree it closes on Sundays. Most of these hours are copied from the listing, so check before you go.
  • Ten posts list the phone number 0507-1402-1757, all copied from the listing; we have not called it. One post copied a notice that Naver booking only covers 17:00–19:00 slots and to phone otherwise, with groups up to 12.
  • Several 2026 posts repeat the same lines: that the place has held the same spot in Seongsu for over ten years, and the same parking notice word for word. We treat these as the shop's own blurb and did not rely on them. No post discloses sponsorship; six say they paid their own way.
