브이엔디 성수본점 Beuiendi Seongsu-bonjeom VND is the currency code for the Vietnamese dong; the shop uses it as its name and puts it on the sign in both Latin letters and Korean. Seongsu-bonjeom marks this as the original branch — a second one opened in Jonggak in April 2026.

VND Seongsu is a Vietnamese restaurant one floor below street level, five minutes on foot from Ttukseom station exit 8. Eight writers say a Vietnamese chef cooks there. Hanoi-style beef pho and bun cha are the centre of it, with Thai-leaning dishes — tom yum pho, banh xeo — alongside. It opens at 11am daily and closes at 9pm, and on weekdays it shuts between 4 and 5pm (four posts say there is no such break at weekends). You order and pay from a tablet at the table, and there are rooms you can book. We read twenty-six posts, from November 2024 to September 2026.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 26 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• You go down steps. Ten posts place it in the basement. Two writers say so plainly: one warns that a pushchair or wheelchair may struggle, another that it would be hard with a wheelchair or crutches. Not one post mentions a lift, and not one says it is step-free — so we cannot tell you it is accessible, and we cannot tell you it is not. Two people who were there thought it would be difficult.
• There is no car park. The two writers who say what they did with a car both walked in — one paid about ₩3,000 for an hour at the district sports centre, another left the car at the Ttukseom retention basin lot and walked seven minutes. Several posts list the same four public car parks with the same prices, which looks like the shop's own handout copied along.
• Whether it is roomy splits — and it splits the same way every time. Nine say it is, three say it is not, and all three of those say the same thing: the floor is not large, but the tables are far apart. Hence the seven who call it quiet. One writer counted fewer than ten four-tops. Two say the high ceiling keeps it from feeling closed in, and four that the big window keeps the basement from feeling dark.
• The queue is a question of when. Four posts describe waiting, nine describe walking straight in. The waits were Saturday 6–7:30pm, a weekday lunch, and midday on a Saturday; the walk-ins were 2pm on a weekday, a late lunch, right after the afternoon break, and early evening. One writer went at the evening peak in September 2026 and was the only customer in the place. One mentions a tablet by the door where you leave a phone number.
• Prices have gone up. Lay the posts that quote the same dish in date order and you get: beef pho ₩10,800 in December 2024 → ₩11,800 in four posts from April 2026; Hue pho ₩12,800 → ₩13,500; tom yum pho ₩14,800 in January 2025 → ₩15,500 that October → ₩16,500 in September 2026; nem ran ₩8,800 → ₩9,800. We can count that it rose. We cannot tell you when — no post covers the gap.
• Two posts give different hours, and they disagree with each other too. Sixteen say 11am–9pm; one says 11:30am–10pm and another 11:30am–11pm. Both outliers are from autumn 2025 and both read like shop copy. We have followed the larger number — but we are recording the disagreement rather than hiding it. Nine posts put last orders at 8:20pm.
• A review-for-a-freebie offer ran for a long time here. Five writers say they took it: a mangosteen or lychee drink, two Vietnamese beers for one, a ₩9,000 sorbet for ₩3,000. The posts span December 2024 to May 2026. It is worth knowing that before you read the rest. No post declares payment, and six state they paid their own way.
• There is a second VND, in Jonggak. It opened in April 2026. Two of the thirty posts we gathered were about that one, and both name the Seongsu original repeatedly — praising the parent — so the name alone did not separate them. The address did. Jonggak keeps different hours and prices: open to 10pm, break from 3 to 5, and bun cha ₩400 dearer.
• They dim the lights in the evening. Four posts describe it; one writer was told at about 5:30 that the lighting was about to change, and so saw both. Three describe the place as a restaurant by day and a drinking spot by night. There is Vietnamese beer and there are highballs, and one post says you may bring your own bottle.
• One post says banh xeo and cha ca la vong can only be ordered at dinner and at weekends. Another says weekday lunch and dinner take separate menus. Both are from December 2024 — one writer each, and nobody has mentioned it since, so we do not know whether it still holds.
