Ssada Gimbap Ttukseom-yeok-jeom

싸다김밥 뚝섬역점 Ssada is Korean for 'cheap' (the same word also means 'to wrap', as one rolls gimbap); it is a budget gimbap-and-snack chain, and this is its Ttukseom Station branch.

A branch of the Ssada Gimbap snack chain on the main road by exit 5 of Ttukseom Station. The menu runs from gimbap and ramyeon to udon, tteokbokki, pork cutlet and rice bowls. You order at the kiosk by the door, collect your tray at the pickup counter when your number is called, and help yourself to pickled radish, kimchi and broth at the self-service bar. In 2026 posts the basic roll costs 4,000 won, the aged-kimchi tuna roll 5,500 won and pork cutlet 8,500 won. Posts from June 2025 on describe it as open 24 hours; a single December 2024 post gave 9 am to 9 pm. We read 27 posts from December 2024 to September 2026, 24 of them written by people who ate here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Twelve posts describe ordering at the kiosk. Several note that it takes cards only, so cash orders go through the counter. Posts say you collect your food yourself when your number is called and clear your own tray. Only one post said the food was brought to the table.
  2. Ten posts say it is close to the station: about a minute from exit 5, or two to three minutes with one crosswalk, right behind the bus stop. One post adds that the blue frontage is easy to spot.
  3. Nine posts describe the seating: two- and four-person tables plus a counter along the window for solo diners, and one post counted roughly 8 to 10 tables. One notes a sign asking that the larger tables go to groups of three or more at the lunch peak. Views on size differ: one post called it fairly roomy, two called it small.
  4. Many posts call it a good place to eat alone, but only two say they actually went alone. Four went with a partner, four with family (one with a young child) and two with friends.
3 more
  1. Five posts call the portions large: the rolls are big, and one writer said finishing the pork-cutlet omelette rice was close to impossible.
  2. Seven posts found it cheap and two found it overpriced, one joking that the name should be 'Not-Cheap Gimbap'. One post was split: 8,500 won for pork cutlet seemed fair, 3,800 won for a basic roll did not.
  3. It gets busy at weekday lunch. A writer who had been about ten times said the longest wait was under 10 minutes; an August 2025 post said tables turned over fast enough that there was no wait. One post waited, one did not. Food took about 5 minutes in one post and 7 to 8 in another.

Where it is

Map showing where Ssada Gimbap Ttukseom-yeok-jeom is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

Ten posts say it is close to the station: about a minute from exit 5, or two to three minutes with one crosswalk, right behind the bus stop. One post adds that the blue frontage is easy to spot.

Getting inside

No post says from experience which floor the shop is on; only the address says '1st floor'. That is an absence of reports, not a finding.

No post mentions a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in.

No post says whether there is a restroom inside or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Hours: posts from June 2025 on say 24 hours, and they copy a 3:30-4:30 pm break, an early-morning break and a Thursday-night closure. The start of the early-morning break is listed as 3:00, 3:10 or 3:30 depending on the post, and some posts say 'open every day' while others mention the Thursday-night closure. One writer turned away several times because the lights were off before dawn. A single December 2024 post listed 9 am to 9 pm.
  • Prices have risen. The basic roll was 3,500 won in December 2024, 3,800 won in June and August 2025, and 4,000 won in June and August 2026. Other prices are as of each post and may have changed.
  • Six posts give the same phone number, 02-499-0719. None says whether it takes phone bookings or orders.
  • We did not count three posts: a roundup of Naver review keywords, a piece written like brand copy, and a generic write-up on a real-estate blog. One post from a real visit reads like keyword-stuffed promotion, so we counted only that its takeout rolls were large.
