SOKOA
소코아 뚝섬점 Sokoa Ttukseom-jeom
Compiled from 25 blog posts read in fullSources →
Sokoa Ttukseom is a branch of a Japanese-curry chain, up a flight of stairs on the second floor of a brick building in the lanes off Ttukseom Station exit 7. Its signatures are the Sokoa curry — rice moulded into a bowl holding three curries (15,000 won) — and a cold udon with salmon and avocado (15,000 won); of 25 visits, eleven ordered each. Curries ran 13,000–15,000 won, cutlets 13,900, drinks 5,000. You order from your table by QR code or NFC tag. We read 30 posts from 24 January to 4 October 2026; two were about the Hongdae branch, leaving 25 visits.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You order on your phone rather than flagging staff: thirteen posts describe ordering and paying through a QR code or NFC tag at the table. One writer caught themselves about to call out for a server.
- The kitchen is open to view; sixteen posts say so. Eight of them, though, follow the same template listing two-seat tables, a window bar, the open kitchen and dog-friendliness in the same order. Outside that template, one writer quotes a friend remarking how clean the range hood was.
- Of the three curries, the chicken one is the spicy one; eleven posts call it spicy, though one rated it milder than Ottogi's 'medium-hot' supermarket curry. The mild shrimp curry was described as fine for children.
- This is a chain outlet: one writer remarked that franchises are a cut above, and the Hongdae-branch post counts eight branches in Seoul. Claims that this branch plates more carefully than others come from the templated posts.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
14 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
| Second floor | 14 of 25 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 25 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 2 of 25 posts |
The restaurant is upstairs: fourteen posts mention climbing to the second floor, four of them mentioning stairs — an outside staircase, and one writer's 'stair hell'. One post says third floor, at odds with the rest.
No one wrote about a step at the door, wheelchair or stroller access, or a lift — we don't know, which is not the same as there being none. Four posts did describe walking up stairs to the second floor.
Two posts say the toilet is inside the restaurant, one finding it cleaner than expected. Nobody said whether it is split by gender.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No one reports waiting. One went at 11:30 on a weekday and walked in; another found the room empty on a Friday evening. One guessed weekends might mean a queue, but that is a guess — we don't know about weekend lunch.
- Over ten posts say dogs are welcome, but all of them repeat the shop's own notice; no one actually brought a dog.
- Opening hours disagree. Of 17 posts that list them, nine say Monday 11:30–14:30 and Tuesday–Sunday 11:30–20:00; five say 11:30–20:00 every day; two give 11:30–21:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break — identical to the Hongdae branch's hours; one says 10:30–20:00. Most are copied, so check before you go.
- Prices come only from posts dated May to October 2026; a curry and an udon for two came to roughly 28,000–30,000 won. No one called it expensive, and one writer thought it good value for the Seoul Forest area.
- Nine posts give the same phone number, 0507-1321-7967. Most mentions of Naver booking are copied, but one writer booked through Naver and received a complimentary strawberry ice cream.
- Eight of the 25 visit posts read like commissioned copy, sharing phrasing and order. Only one discloses sponsorship; two say they paid their own way. One writer complained the curry came cold.
