Seorae Wangchadol Ttukseomyeok-jeom

서래왕차돌 뚝섬역점 Chadol is thinly sliced beef brisket and wang means king — the sign writes it with the character 王; Seorae is the name of a Seoul neighbourhood.

A barbecue house right outside exits 3 and 4 of Ttukseom Station, on the ground floor of 36 Sangwon-gil. In the evening it grills beef brisket, a brisket-and-offal set, marinated pork ribs and pork belly over charcoal; at lunch it sells stews and rice bowls for about 9,000 to 11,000 won. Nearly every post mentions a free brisket soybean stew when you order meat for each person. It used a gas grill until autumn 2025 and switched to charcoal that winter; one post says the place used to be called Ilchadol. We read 30 posts from October 2024 to October 2026; 26 of them record an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. It is right at the station: 20 posts say so from experience, a couple putting it 53 to 59 metres from exit 4. One notes it sits a little back from the main road and takes some finding.
  2. Seventeen posts call the room large; one regular says their company holds dinners of more than 30 people here, and two mention chairs with a compartment for coats.
  3. Side dishes are refilled from a self-service bar — 13 posts mention it, usually for bean sprouts, shredded scallion, white kimchi and macaroni salad. One adds that staff will bring more sprouts if you ask.
  4. People eat here alone at lunch: four posts did, one noting they were given a four-person table. Several lunch posts mention tteokbokki served as a side dish.
2 more
  1. No post describes waiting; three say they walked straight in. One lunchtime regular suggests arriving around 11:30 because nearby office workers fill it at the peak.
  2. Ten posts call it reasonably priced and one stops short of calling it cheap. A dinner for two was written up as 43,600 won for the brisket-and-offal set plus 3,000 won fried rice, or 35,600 won of pork ribs plus 7,000 won of noodles.

Parking

3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park3 of 26 posts

Parking is mixed: three posts parked or confirmed free mechanical tower parking (one says up to 20 cars), while two say there is room for about two cars out front that may be taken. Copied info blocks listing two or three spaces were not counted.

Separate restrooms1 of 26 posts

No one wrote about a step at the door or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair — that means we don't know, not that there is no problem. One post confirms from experience that it is on the ground floor; none mentions a basement or upper floor.

Accounts of the toilet differ: two posts put it inside, while one from December 2025 says it is outside, separated by sex, and that you take a key and tissue.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 29 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Whether staff grill for you depends on when people went. One December 2024 post says they grilled it themselves; five posts from January to May 2026 say the owner or staff did it — three of those five were sponsored.
  • The grill changed. An October 2025 post was told by the owner that charcoal was coming; posts from December 2025 on describe charcoal, and a regular in March 2026 recalls that it used to be gas. Grill descriptions in earlier posts no longer apply.
  • Nineteen posts give opening hours of 10:00 to 22:00, mostly copied from listing widgets. One lists a 14:00–16:00 break and another says there is none; on days off, one says closed Sundays except for group bookings and two say open every day.
  • Prices shift between posts: a 150 g portion of brisket is 15,800 won in December 2024, 12,800 won on a November 2025 menu list and 15,800 won in March 2026. We can't tell whether that was a price change or a promotion.
  • Many posts give the same phone number, 02-461-8860. Bookings and group use appear only in copied info blocks; no one wrote about actually reserving by phone.
  • Many posts from October 2025 to June 2026 carry the same block of hashtags and introduce the pork-rib offer and free noodles and stew in the same order. Of the posts recording a meal, five disclose sponsorship, three say they paid themselves and 18 say nothing.
