Seongsumi
성수미 Seongsu is the neighbourhood the shop sits in; none of the posts explain what the closing syllable 'mi' stands for.

Seongsumi is a small Hanoi-style pho shop on the ground floor of the Dongjin IT Tower on Sangwon 12-gil, between Ttukseom and Seongsu stations. You order at a kiosk by the door; the flame-grilled beef pho is KRW 9,500 and the spicy version KRW 10,500, and several posts say weekday lunch comes with half a free stick of fried dough for dunking. Most diners are local office workers, many of them eating alone. We read 30 posts dated March 2025 to September 2026; 15 were about other businesses whose names merely start with 'Seongsumi', and 14 of the remaining 15 describe an actual visit.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Seating is limited. Eight of the visit posts call the room small or cramped. Those that counted give roughly three four-seat tables, one two-seater and a six-seat counter, or a seven-seat counter plus one table each for two, three and four. One post says it is not a place for groups.
- Expect a wait at lunch. Four posts describe one first-hand: a five-minute wait, the room filling up just before noon, a line forming by about 11:30 after the writer walked in first at 11:20, and a plain note that lunch means queuing. Four more only guess there would be a wait. The line about orders being taken while you wait comes from a notice posted by the shop.
- The kitchen is open to the room. Four posts mention it and four call the place clean; one notes the owner always cooks in a cap and mask.
- Portions are generous: five posts say so, mostly about the amount of beef. One post found the beef shank on the shank pho on the small side.
3 more
- Six posts say the owner or staff were friendly. Two say the owner cooks alone; one of them found the food slow as a result, while another got it within five minutes, so that is split one to one.
- Four posts call it good value, usually because a bowl is under KRW 10,000. One post built a KRW 12,000 meal by adding extra noodles (500), extra meat (2,000) and free bean sprouts to the plain bowl.
- Three posts say they went back, one the very next day and one on two days running. One post said the broth was not hot enough and it was not worth a return trip.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

| Toilet inside | yes 0 · no 1 (of 14 posts read) |
No post says whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in; we simply do not know. Two posts say the shop is on the ground floor.
Only one post mentions the toilet: it is outside the shop and needs a door code. Separate men's and women's toilets appear only in a copied listing, so we do not rely on it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 15 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- The opening hours have changed. Posts from September 2025 to January 2026 list weekdays, Friday included, 10:30 to 20:00 (last order 19:40) with a short Saturday; posts from April to August 2026 say only Monday to Thursday run to 20:00, with short hours on Friday and Saturday. The short-day closing time is given as 16:00 in six posts and 15:20 in three. Six posts say it is closed on Sundays. Most of these hours were copied from listing blocks, so check before you go.
- We know little about who people came with: two posts went alone, two (the same visit, written up twice by one blogger) with a coworker, and one with the writer's mother. Several posts mention that the counter seats make eating alone easy.
- Most posts liked the food, but one found both the broth and the fried rice very salty, and another found the broth lukewarm.
- Four posts give the phone number 0507-1413-9200, but none says whether the shop takes reservations.
