SAIGON SENSES

사이공센스 Saigon Senseu Saigon is the old name of Ho Chi Minh City and 'senses' is the English word — roughly 'the senses of Saigon'.

Compiled from 11 blog posts read in fullSources →

Saigon Senses is a Vietnamese restaurant that opened around August 2026 on a side street in Seongsu-dong, near exit 6 of Ttukseom Station. The core is Saigon-style pho (10,000 won), alongside banh mi (pork, 8,000 won), banh xeo (18,000 won), beef fried rice (13,000 won) and com tam; a single set of pho with fried or fresh rolls is 14,000 won, and a two-person set of pho, banh mi and rolls is 25,000 won. Ten of the twelve visits included pho. We read 14 posts dated December 2025 to October 2026; 12 of them, from August to October 2026, describe actually eating here. The other two were Vietnam travel guides and were set aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Four posts say it is close to Ttukseom Station — near exit 6 and on a corner, about five minutes' walk from exits 5 and 6. One visitor walked over from Seoul Forest.
  2. Expect a wait at the height of lunch. One visitor waited about 10 minutes at 12:30 with a line behind them; another registered for the queue by QR code at the door. The same first visitor walked straight in after 1 p.m. on a return trip, a 1:30 p.m. visit found it quiet, and a weekend-dinner visit found it uncrowded.
  3. Seven posts call the staff friendly. Both banh xeo orders came with staff cutting it at the table and showing how to wrap it, and a solo diner watching a drama on her phone was brought a phone stand. One post found service a little slow because the staff are not native Korean speakers, though the food came out fast.
  4. Three posts found it good value; none called it expensive. One couple paid 27,000 won for the two-person set plus extra meat. Two posts mention a free drink for writing a review.

One post says there is no parking and you need a paid lot nearby. Three others carry copied info boxes (one pointing to the Seongsu Cultural Center lot, first 30 minutes free), which we did not count. No one wrote about arriving by car.

Getting inside

Second floor5 of 11 posts
Step at the entrance3 of 11 posts
Toilet inside1 of 11 posts

The registered address says ground floor, but five visitors placed the dining room upstairs — 'up the stairs to the second floor', 'a 1.5th-floor shop'. Three of them mention climbing stairs to get in.

No post mentions a wheelchair, a stroller or a lift. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is none — though three posts say you climb stairs to the entrance.

One post says the toilet is inside the restaurant and clean. Nobody said whether it is split by gender or how big it is.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know

  • Portions split opinion: three posts found them large, two said they were ordinary or not big. Three posts note that extra noodles and bean sprouts are free.
  • Accounts of the room differ: one post counted about three two-tops and five four-tops and called it bigger than expected, two found it small. Another put capacity at eight or nine parties.
  • Three posts went with a husband or boyfriend and one went alone. None mentions going with friends or children.
  • Seven posts give the same hours, 11:00–22:00 daily, but all copied from listing info. No one mentioned a break, last order or closing day. One weekend-evening visit found the pork banh mi nearly sold out and the fresh rolls gone soon after.
  • Three posts list the same phone number, 0507-1303-8386. None says anything about reservations.
