A whisky and cocktail bar tucked into an alley off Seongdeokjeong 3-gil, behind the Mangchi Burger building, about a 9–10 minute walk from Seoul Forest Station exit 2. It opens at 7 pm; people come for three-pour tasting flights (20,000–45,000 won), off-menu cocktails made to order (mostly from 18,000 won) and the dirty potato (12,000 won) that nearly every post ordered. We read 28 posts dated 31 July 2025 to 2 October 2026; 22 describe actual visits (July 2025 to March 2026). Three were about something else and set aside, and three are an intro piece, an event listing and a repost.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Water and a free snack arrive as you sit down: 19 of the 22 visit posts mention it, always pretzels and chocolate (Bouchard milk-caramel sea-salt squares, sometimes chocolate coins). One post got a chocolate refill; another was handed a hangover jelly on the way out.
- This is a bar where the bartender chooses and explains. Sixteen posts call the staff kind, usually for the same reasons: you describe a taste and get a cocktail built for it, and unordered whiskies get poured as samples (one post ordered two cocktails and was given far more to try). Several were given a free cocktail or a dram of Ki One.
- There is both a bar and table seating: 14 posts describe the seats and 13 say it is not bar-only. Counts differ a little — posts from August and September 2025 give five bar stools, one four-top and two two-tops; February–March 2026 posts give five stools, one two-top and two four-tops, one of them a sofa. Two posts say the room is small, one calls it fairly big.
- Everyone orders at least one drink: four posts note the one-drink-per-person rule, and in one a driver ordered an iced americano to meet it. One post says there seems to be no cover charge.

- Four posts say prices are fair, one says expensive. The fair side points to the flights (three pours of cask-finished malt for 45,000 won when a single glass is usually around 20,000) and one compares it favourably with Apgujeong and Sinsa. The one dissent closed the whisky list at the glass prices and ordered cocktails instead.
- Seven posts call it quiet — one notes you cannot really hear people seated further away — and several tie that to being off Seongsu's main Yeonmujang-gil strip.
- Three December 2025 posts mention a Christmas tree built from whisky bottles; it is a year-end decoration.

No visit post says which floor the bar is on; only the address says ground floor, and nobody mentions stairs. One post wrote second floor but seemed to describe a bar in Hapjeong, so we set it aside.
Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair or stroller access — that means unknown, not absent. Several posts do say the entrance is round the back of an alley and hard to find.
The toilet appears to be outside the bar: one visit post says you use the building's ground-floor toilet, and two more list 'toilet outside' in an info line, which we did not count. Whether it is split by gender appears only in one info line, so we don't know.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 25 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Opening hours have changed. Twelve posts from July–December 2025 give 7 pm to 2 am; eight from February–March 2026 give 7 pm to 1 am with last orders at 12:30. Closing days are Sunday and Monday in seven posts from July–September 2025 and in 2026, but four posts from November–December 2025 say Sundays only. Most of this is copied into post headers, and with no visit after March 2026 we cannot confirm current hours.
- No post describes waiting. Three found it empty or quiet (first customers, alone with the bartender early on a weekday, quiet at 10 pm on a Thursday). One sat straight down at 8 pm on a weekday but was told Fridays and Saturdays get a queue — hearsay.
- Four posts say it is walkable from transit: 9–10 minutes from Seoul Forest Station exit 2, 13 from Ttukseom, and one walked from the Gyeongil Elementary School bus stop. Several warn it is hard to find the first time.
- Five posts went with friends, two with a partner, one alone. Many say it suits solo drinking, but only one actually went alone.
- Nine posts give the same phone number, 070-8844-0710. The line that bookings and private hire go through Instagram DM (@pivot_bar) is copied from the bar's own blurb; no post describes actually booking.
- Outdoor seating is unconfirmed: two posts (July 2025, February 2026) only guess there may be a terrace.
- Some posts look templated: two from late February and March 2026 share the same directions, seat count and closing lines, and one post disclosed a sponsored visit. The '300-plus whiskies' figure appears in four posts, all as something they were told.
