Onryang
온량 The house napkins spell the name out as 'the table of the gentle and upright' — on from onhwa (gentle-natured) and ryang from seollyang (good-hearted).

Onryang is a small Western-style restaurant in an alley off Seoulsup 4-gil, next to Seoul Forest. The draw is a bone-in pork tomahawk cutlet (25,000 won); pastas and risottos are 19,000 won and a ricotta salad 16,000 won. You eat in a cluttered, antique-filled room, helping yourself to pickled radish from a jar on each table, and many diners split one cutlet and one pasta between two. We read 30 posts dated 17 July to 3 October 2026: 17 describe a visit (two of them are pairs repeating the same meal), 11 are lists or itineraries. Two posts about the Jangwi-dong branch in Seongbuk-gu were set aside as a different shop.

Rows without a count: 3 of 7 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Seven posts say the portions are large — one reckons two dishes would feed three adults, another that the salad arrives heaped, and one pair still left cutlet behind. No post says otherwise.
- Waiting splits four to four. Of the four posts that queued or saw a queue, two give times: 30 minutes after 1 p.m. on a weekday in May 2026, and 30 minutes back in September 2022. The four that walked straight in went on a weekday, around noon on a Saturday, and on a weekend evening. Two posts describe a row of chairs to the right of the entrance for waiting; one relays a door notice saying to write your name on the list before sitting down.
- Five posts say the room is small. Those that counted tables found roughly two tables for four to six and four for two, or about seven tables for two to four; another says it is mostly two-tops plus one round table for four. Two posts warn that groups larger than four will struggle to fit.
- The cutlet comes with sauce poured over it. Two posts found the coating crisp, one said it was not crisp but the sauce made up for it, and one found the edges crisp and the sauced centre softened.
2 more
- Two posts noticed many foreign diners; one put it at about half the room at Saturday lunch.
- Three posts find it pricey and one finds it cheap. One felt it was paying a premium for what is essentially a pork cutlet, another skipped the cutlet for being expensive, while one thought the price barely covered the ingredients given the size.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
3 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No visitor describes which floor the restaurant is on; only the address says ground floor.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or pushchair can get in — not because there isn't, but because nobody wrote about it.
No post says where the toilet is or whether it is separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 11 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-08-24 | 2 posts in one day |

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on the spicy rosé pasta: one found it hotter than expected, two said it was not spicy.
- Seven posts copy the opening hours and they disagree: three say 12:00–21:00 daily, three say 11:30 on weekdays and 12:00 at weekends until 21:00, and one adds a 16:00–17:00 weekday break. All are copied listings, so check before going.
- Reservations are muddled. Two list posts say the restaurant doesn't take bookings, yet two visitors booked through Naver (May and July 2026), one remarking that bookings seem to be possible now. Two phone numbers appear: 0507-1361-3643 (three posts) and 02-6403-3643 (two).
- Prices come from posts dated July to September 2026. A post on the Jangwi-dong branch lists the cutlet at 23,000 won, but that is a different shop. Posts mention branches at Seokchon Lake and Dream Forest too, so check you are heading to the Seoulsup 4-gil address.
- Eleven list and itinerary posts were compiled without a visit and are not counted. Two pairs of posts repeat the same meal by the same writer (a diary plus a review, and one review posted on two platforms); each pair was counted once.
