Moonts BBQ is a Texas-style smoked barbecue restaurant on Sangwon 1-gil, a couple of minutes from exit 6 of Ttukseom Station (Goodtower, ground floor, unit 101). The kitchen smokes beef rib, brisket and pork belly and sends them out as sharing platters; many diners add mini buns (₩1,500) to build little burgers with the meat and coleslaw. Prices quoted in posts: beef rib platter ₩98,000, brisket platter ₩72,000, pork belly platter ₩43,000, beef rib on its own ₩86,000. It used to sit across from Dior Seongsu near Seongsu Station before moving here. Some posts say a meat YouTuber called Moonts runs it, but that is repeated, not observed. We read 30 posts from December 2025 to September 2026; 2 were about other places, and 24 record an actual meal.

What sets it apart
- Most people walked straight in. Six posts say there was no wait — 5 p.m. on a Saturday, right after the weekend break, weekend and weekday lunch. One noted the room was nearly full by 6 p.m.; a weekday-lunch visitor found almost no one there but a company lunch. One post reports waiting, 30 minutes on a weekday evening.
- Nine posts say they booked, mostly through CatchTable; one chose the platter in advance and paid a ₩20,000 deposit, another phoned when the app showed no slots. Booking seems to matter more for the menu than the seat: two posts found the brisket platter sold out and two found rice, noodles or most other dishes gone. One writer felt the reservation had been unnecessary.
- It is close to the subway but the door is not on the street. Seven posts say it is walkable from the station, usually 'two minutes from Ttukseom exit 6'. The entrance is inside the building: one writer says to look for the sign pointing into the left-hand building's main entrance, another admits pushing on the outside wall. Look for the orange columns and walls.
- The meat is rich, and posts keep stressing the sides. Three found it greasy — one says to always add extra coleslaw, another that the peppers and garlic weren't enough to cut the fat. Four posts mention the meat being juicy.
- Posts lean toward expensive: five say so, one doesn't settle. Actual bills: ₩116,000 for two (beef rib, portabella, a Coke Zero and a beer) and ₩57,000 for three (pork belly platter and two beers). One writer put it as 'not bad value, just a high absolute price'.
- Five posts describe walls of celebrity signatures and photos at the entrance; one spotted baseball player Lee Jung-hoo.

One post says it is on the ground floor and easy to get into; apart from the two apparent old-location posts, no one mentions a basement or upper floor.
We don't know whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in — nobody wrote about it. We only know the door is inside the building, through its main entrance.
One post says the restroom is outside the restaurant; another just says it's on the ground floor. No one says whether it is split by gender.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 24 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two posts say the restaurant moved from near Dior Seongsu to Ttukseom. The earliest post we read (December 2025) is already at the new address, so the move happened before that. Two posts published in 2026 describe smoking on the ground floor and dining upstairs, which doesn't match the current single ground-floor unit; we treated them as visits to the old site and didn't count their floor or seating details.
- Corkage is reported two ways. A December 2025 post says it was free with a platter; a February 2026 post, also with a platter, says ₩20,000 per bottle. We can't tell whether the policy changed or the conditions differ.
- Ten posts list opening hours, mostly copied from info blocks, and they agree: 11:30-21:30, break 15:00-17:00, last order 20:30, closed Mondays and Tuesdays. One post says noon opening; another notes the sign at the door still says 12 but it now opens at 11:30. Four posts give the same phone number, 0507-1311-3054.
- In May 2026 the restaurant hosted a Wild Turkey pop-up (May 1-29) with different decor, a whiskey sauce and highballs. We did not count the PR agency's post or the press article about it, nor one scraped listing post that gives a fake phone number.
