Data as of · Published ·
Meitan is a Chinese restaurant on the second floor of the Megabox Seongsu building, right by Seoul Forest Station exit 2. Five posts put jjajangmyeon at 10,000 won and two put a medium tangsuyuk at 38,000; there are private rooms, and seven posts went with family. Eight posts say a dessert such as strawberry sherbet came at the end of the meal. We read 30 posts dated 10 April to 4 September 2026; two were about other restaurants and seven were introductions or lists written without a visit, so what diners experienced is counted from 21.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
These hours are counted from the posts we read. Shops change them without notice — check Naver Place before you go. Place — check hours
What sets it apart
- Six posts ate in a private room. One booked a room with a lazy Susan; a family birthday post says rooms carry a 200,000-won minimum, easily reached with six or more. The 10% meal voucher for room bookings is the restaurant's own offer, copied by several posts.
- Five posts went with children. One found a child's bowl, cutlery and chair already set; another notes a 7,000-won kids' jjajang and child tableware brought unasked. A third says fried dishes came with sauce on the side for the kids.
- Seven posts found the staff kind, and say why: fresh plates with every dish, extra plates to share noodles without fuss, and wet wipes brought after a diner was overheard asking her husband for some.
- Six posts called the frying crisp: tangsuyuk, fried dumplings, cream-prawn tails, prawns, peanut pork belly. One post found the peanut pork belly too greasy to eat more than a few pieces.

Parking
3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 3 of 18 posts |

Three posts parked and got free time: three hours after spending about 50,000 won, four hours on another visit, and three hours regardless of the number of cars in a spacious lot. The 'three hours before 5 pm, four after' rule is copied by many posts.

Getting there

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 18 posts read) |
|---|
No one wrote about steps at the entrance, ramps, lifts, or getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair; we don't know. One post mentioned the second floor from experience; the 'by the escalator' direction is copied from the listing.
No post says where the toilets are or whether they are separate by gender; we don't know.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
| 2026-05-29 | 2 posts in one day |
|---|
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Portions split two to one: two posts found them generous, while a solo April diner said the jjajangmyeon was far too small.
- Opinions on price split two to two: two posts call it reasonable, two call it expensive (10,000-won jjajangmyeon; a pricey course). Yuringi appears as 35,000 won in a July post and 48,000 in an August one; we don't know whether the price rose or one is a mistake.
- No post mentions waiting. Three describe a crowded room, but none describes a queue. That means nobody wrote about it, not that there is never a wait.
- Six posts give the same hours, 11:00–21:30 daily, four with last order at 20:30, though three of them copied the listing. None mentions a closing day; we don't know whether there is one.
- Three posts booked ahead (CatchTable, Naver, a room). One walked in and thought booking is only needed for groups and rooms. The phone number 0507-1335-1081 appears in copied listing blocks.
- Some posts follow a promotional template: three paste the Naver Place description (meal voucher, 250 seats, chef's awards, a TV appearance) and say they were written from listing data; two posts from one blog repeat the same paragraphs. We treat the chef's awards and TV appearance as the restaurant's own claims, not evidence.
- The building is changing: a July post says the Megabox cinema no longer operates, and an August post found the facade under construction while the restaurants stayed open. We don't know whether 'Megabox Seongsu' still works as a landmark.
