Katsu Gongbang Seongsu-jeom

카츠공방 성수점 Katsu Gongbang means 'katsu workshop' — gongbang is the Korean word for a craft workshop; Seongsu-jeom marks this as the Seongsu branch of a chain.

Compiled from 19 blog posts read in fullSources →

Katsu Gongbang's Seongsu branch is a Japanese pork-cutlet chain outlet on the ground floor of Seoul Forest A Tower, right by Ttukseom Station. Cutlets run from 12,000 won (loin) and 13,000 won (tenderloin) to 16,000 won for the layered kasane katsu and 18,000-19,000 won for the mixed plate, alongside udon, soba, rice bowls, curry and a kimchi-tofu katsu hotpot. You order from a tablet at the table, and many posts added a mini cold soba or mini udon for 3,000 won. We read 23 posts dated June 28 to October 4, 2026; 19 describe an actual meal.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Ordering happens at the table: 11 posts ordered and paid on a tablet or kiosk there. One notes a split-the-bill function by dish; another says the tablet shows live remaining stock, so you can see whether the limited items are still available.
  2. It is close to the subway: 12 posts said it was a one- or two-minute walk. Some name exit 5 and some exit 6 of Ttukseom Station; both appear to lead to the same building. One post walked over from Seoul Forest Station instead.
  3. Five posts said the portions are large: one found the mixed plate too much for one person, another was startled by the full tray, and a parent with a primary-school child couldn't finish the loin cutlet.

Posts saying you can park3 of 19 posts

Three posts read as having driven, all using the building's underground car park. How long it's free varies: several copied info blocks say two hours, one post one hour, another 90 minutes. One post advises asking the counter to register your car when you order.

Where it is

Map showing where Katsu Gongbang Seongsu-jeom is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

From the station

It is close to the subway: 12 posts said it was a one- or two-minute walk. Some name exit 5 and some exit 6 of Ttukseom Station; both appear to lead to the same building. One post walked over from Seoul Forest Station instead.

Getting inside

In a basementyes 0 · no 6 (of 19 posts read)

It is at street level: six posts said the shop is on the building's ground floor with the sign and entrance in plain view. No post mentions a basement or stairs.

No post says whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in; we only know it's on the ground floor.

We don't know whether the toilet is inside the shop or split by gender; one copied info block just says there is one.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 23 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-08-193 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • The kasane katsu is limited each day. It appeared as a new item in September 2026; one post saw four left when ordering, and two saw it sell out immediately after their own order.
  • Prices shift over time: three September 2026 posts list the mixed plate at 18,000 won, two from October 2 at 19,000 won. The mini cold soba add-on is 3,000 won in four posts and 4,000 won in one. A cutlet plus a side came to roughly 15,000-19,000 won, and four posts called the prices reasonable.
  • No post says the writer had to wait. Two say weekday lunch fills up with office workers, but nobody gave a wait time; one visit around 5 p.m. was relaxed. That means nobody measured a queue, not that there isn't one.
  • Company varies: three posts went as a couple, two with a child, one alone, one with a friend; the rest don't say. Six posts noted high chairs.
  • Opening hours appear in 13 posts, mostly copied info blocks: 12 agree on 11:00-21:00 weekdays and 11:00-20:30 weekends and holidays, with a 15:00-17:00 weekday break. Weekend last order is 19:50 in three posts and 20:00 in three. One post lists 11:00-21:00 every day instead.
  • Seven posts give the same phone number, 02-6263-9293, all in copied info blocks. No post tried to book; one block just says no reservation is needed.
  • This is a chain outlet; two posts note there are other branches, such as Gangnam.
  • Much of the coverage is promotional. Four posts disclose sponsorship or a free meal. Three posts from August 19, 2026 share one template and only restate the shop's own blurb with no sign of a visit, so we didn't count them; three more from September 6-8 follow the same order and wording. One writer's post published on two platforms was counted once. Claims such as certified Dodram pork or 100% natural mozzarella come from the shop, so we didn't count them as evidence.
