Korean

Jeongidam

정이담 Jeongidam plays on jeong (warm affection) and dam (to hold) — the house's own tagline calls it a modern Korean place 'where jeong goes back and forth'.

Compiled from 12 blog posts read in fullSources →

Jeongidam is a Korean restaurant in the basement arcade of D-Tower Seoul Forest, connected to exit 4 of Seoul Forest Station. It serves pot rice (abalone, Korean beef brisket), bulgogi in an earthenware pot, spicy bean-sprout bulgogi, hot pots and LA-style ribs, ordered from a tablet at the table. Visitors recorded bulgogi at 20,000 won with rice extra (May 2026), abalone pot rice at 25,000 won (June) and spicy bulgogi at 23,000 won per person (September). We read 30 posts from April 24 to October 3, 2026; 12 are records of an actual meal. The rest are multi-restaurant lists, posts generated from Naver Place data, and Seoul Forest outing diaries.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.

What sets it apart

  1. Weekend lunch has a line. Three posts saw one: a June weekend lunch with a 20-30 minute wait, a May visit that registered on-site and was called in by the CatchTable app, and a September weekend lunch that got straight in but watched a line form right after. One post had no wait. A July family that booked through Naver walked in at peak time and noted that walk-ins register on a CatchTable device at the door. Four posts say you can book.
  2. Posts split three to one on private rooms. A late-August family with two babies recalled a long communal table down the middle, four or five regular tables along the side and two or three rooms, and advised booking a room first. A June birthday group used a reserved room. One mid-June post said there were no rooms and they ate at the big shared table — the rooms may have been taken or unseen.
  3. Three posts say you order from a tablet at each table.
  4. Two posts say exit 4 of Seoul Forest Station leads straight into the building; one found the wall signage at the exit helpful.

  1. Seasoning splits: two posts found it salty (one overall, one about ramyeon cooked on the steak pan), one found the bulgogi a little bland.
  2. Seven posts went with family, four of them with children. Two mention a high chair; in May the owner brought a high chair and child cutlery right away.

Parking

7 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.

Posts saying you can park7 of 12 posts

Parking is in the D-Tower garage in the same building. Seven of the 12 visits parked there; one September post says two hours are free, and a May diner got a two-hour discount with dinner. Another September visitor arrived at 11:30, found B3 reserved and parked on B4, and by about 1:20 the garage was full.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside

In a basement3 of 12 posts
Lift to the floor2 of 12 posts

It is in a basement-level arcade. Three posts describe going down to it; an April visitor searched at street level for a while before realizing it was underground, and noted an elevator near Acro Seoul Forest. Two posts mention an elevator.

Nobody wrote about a step at the entrance or wheelchair access. One family used the building elevator with two strollers, but no one described the restaurant door itself. That means we don't know, not that it's a problem.

No post says where the restroom is or whether it is separated by gender.

No one mentioned: Second floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 16 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

2026-05-302 posts in one day

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • Two visit posts give opening hours, both copied from listing info. They agree on a 15:00-17:00 weekday break but differ on closing, 22:30 (June) versus 22:00 (May). Nobody mentioned a closing day.
  • Few visits give prices. The spicy bulgogi was 23,000 won per person in a September visit but 24,000 in May template posts; we can't tell if it dropped or the copied figure was stale. Dinner prices like 35,000 won for LA ribs and 45,000 for the cube steak are all copied. A party of six in April paid 171,000 won for three portions of hot pot, a pancake, four pot rices and drinks, and found the hot pot pricey per head.
  • Four posts copy the phone number 02-6233-7630; one gives 02-1234-5678, which looks made up. Visitors booked through Naver or CatchTable.
  • Seven posts from May 2026 come from one template: the same shop tagline, the same '43 m from exit 4' line and the same Naver review counts. Some say 'I went myself' yet state they were written from Naver Place data. We did not count them as visits.
