Jeju Giljo Udon
제주길조우동 Giljo reads as 'good omen'; a copied blurb in one post says the name joins the characters for good fortune and morning, after a family restaurant of that name in Jeju.

An udon and soft-tofu stew shop on the ground floor of Understand Avenue, near Seoul Forest station. It opened in March 2026; we read 16 posts from 2 May to 3 October 2026, 14 of them first-hand meals. Pot udon, shishito-pepper udon, tofu udon and a soft-tofu stew topped with a fried egg come up most, with cold soba and soy-milk noodles in summer. One post's copy of the menu board on 30 April 2026 puts a bowl at 9,500 to 13,000 won. Most visitors stopped in on the way to or from Seoul Forest.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Five posts describe eating here with children, though two pairs are the same blogger writing up one visit twice, so it is really three families. One says the owner left the chili flakes out of the pot udon so the child would not find it too hot; another says the children were given pumpkin and carrot chews on the house after thanking the owner. The same blogger, in two posts, ordered the mild hamburg-steak udon for the kids.
- Two posts ate at the outdoor tables, one saying they make the place feel open and the other comparing it to street-side dining. Two posts said the inside is not large.
- Four posts say it is easy to reach by subway: take exit 3 of Seoul Forest station, and it is the first restaurant down the lane, with a sign pointing the way from the exit.
- Three posts found the prices reasonable and none called them high. Two posts said portions are large; in one, two friends could not finish their udon.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Four posts say it is easy to reach by subway: take exit 3 of Seoul Forest station, and it is the first restaurant down the lane, with a sign pointing the way from the exit.
Getting inside
No post describes the floor from experience; only the address says ground floor.
We do not know whether the entrance has a step or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That is not a no; nobody wrote about it.
Nobody mentioned the toilet, so we do not know whether it is inside or split by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 13 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Only one post records a wait: on the 1 May holiday a queue formed after noon. Another simply warns of waits at weekend peak times. No post says how long the wait was.
- Opening hours: four posts give 10:30 to 20:00 with a 14:30 to 17:00 break, but disagree on which days the break applies. An early-May post says Mondays only, one June post says weekdays, another says the sign showed no break Friday to Sunday yet saw the shop close after a Saturday lunch, and an October post guesses there is no break on weekends and holidays. All are copied listings, and no post names a closing day.
- Prices come from a single post that copied the menu board on 30 April 2026. We do not know whether they have changed since, nor what the soy-milk noodles, gimbap or curry cost.
- Only one post lists the phone number, 0507-1341-2077. No post says whether reservations are taken.
- The second half of one post is a pasted promotional blurb about a 40-year-old Jeju restaurant, so we treat it as copied and do not count it; the same post's own notes say the place seems to have no real Jeju connection. One Seoul Forest top-20 list was auto-generated from public data and is not counted as a visit.
