Jageumseong
자금성 Jageumseong is the Korean reading of Zijincheng, Beijing's Forbidden City — a classic name for a Korean neighbourhood Chinese restaurant.
Compiled from 6 blog posts read in fullSources →
A neighbourhood Chinese restaurant on Wangsimni-ro 14-gil in Seongsu-dong, near Ttukseom Station. Diners eat in: jajangmyeon at 7,000 won, half-and-half jjamjjamyeon at 9,500, small sweet-and-sour pork at 22,000. It opens on weekdays only. Several posts pointed to the half-and-half dishes and the summer cold jjamppong. We read 17 posts from June 2025 to October 2026; 6 were actual visits here. The other 11 were about Beijing's Forbidden City or a different Jageumseong in Dongjak-gu, and we set them aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- The sweet-and-sour pork comes with the sauce already poured on. Of the five posts that ate it, three said it stayed crisp anyway, down to the last piece and not soggy at all. One post saw the kitchen serve the sauce separately when another table asked.
- All three posts that mentioned portions called them generous: two said even the small sweet-and-sour pork was a lot, and one said the seafood jjamppong had so much in it the toppings alone were filling.
- Five posts discussed price; three called it cheap and none called it expensive. Jjamjjamyeon was 9,500 won in both a June 2025 post and an April 2026 post.
- Two posts said the food comes out fast. One lunchtime visitor got almost the last table but did not have to queue. No post reported waiting.

- Cold jjamppong is summer-only. Both posts that had it called it spicy; one suggested picking out the green chillies if you don't handle heat well.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
2 posts say it is walkable from the station.
Getting inside
No visitor described which floor the restaurant is on; only the address says ground floor.
No one said whether there is a step at the entrance or whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in. That is unknown, not a no.
One post's info lines say the toilet is in the building, but no one described using it. We don't know whether it is inside the restaurant or separated by gender.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Five posts gave the same hours, 11:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, and four said it closes on Saturdays and Sundays. Most of these come from summary lines at the top of posts, so they may just repeat the listed hours. Nobody mentioned a break time or last order.
- Only one post said who they came with (a friend). Two posts noted plenty of solo diners, but neither writer ate alone.
- Two posts gave the same phone number, 02-466-0228. No one said whether it takes reservations. Accounts of delivery differ: one post says it is dine-in only, another saw the restaurant's own delivery motorbike.
- Of the six visit posts, three say they paid themselves and three say nothing about who paid; one of those three is a company's official blog.
