Greedy Hyphique is a dessert café on a lane corner two or three minutes from exit 1 at Ttukseom. They bake on site — there is a kitchen at the back, and two writers say they were pulled in off the street by the smell. Tuesday to Saturday, ten until seven; closed Sunday and Monday. No parking. The menu turns over completely, season by season and year by year — tarts named after Greek myths in 2023, cakes named after films and cream scones named after New York neighbourhoods in 2024, and from late 2025 the Dubai chewy cookie and butter tteok. We read twenty posts, October 2023 to April 2026.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 20 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• There is no toilet in the café. Two writers went and looked (a third carried only the listing's own line, so we do not count it): out the door, right, and up to the first floor of the same building — and you need the code. One found it "unisex, or maybe not," and advises women to lock it behind them. No post says whether there is any way up other than the stairs.
• One person looked at the entrance and wrote down what they saw: the threshold is ramped, they say, so a wheelchair can get in. Two other posts repeat the listing's "step-free entrance" and "barrier-free" lines, which we have not counted — copying is not looking. So what we know stops at one person and one ramp. How wide the aisles are, or whether the toilet can be reached at all, nobody has written. The toilet, as above, is upstairs in the building.
• There is another café in the same building. Both are at the same street number, and one of the posts we were given turned out to be a review of the neighbour, so we removed it. Writers get them confused too — two say they assumed the two shopfronts were one place. What is striking is that three came here only because the neighbour did not work out: it was full, the pastries had sold out, the welcome was grudging. All three left happy with this one.
• No post declares sponsorship. Ten say they paid; ten say nothing. One writer, back in 2023, records an offer of a free americano on a return visit for writing a review; no later post mentions it. We did remove one round-up from the denominator — nine Dubai-cookie cafés listed, our section of it lifted wholesale from the shop's own Instagram, photo credits and all. Not a visit.
• There is no parking. Nine posts say so, but seven are copying the listing. Two looked for themselves: "no parking, you have to use a paid lot nearby," and, from someone who studied the lane, "there doesn't seem to be anywhere to park." One gives a public lot eight minutes away on foot. One writer did drive, but never tried to park at the café — the park's public lot was full on a Saturday, so she left the car at the district sports centre and walked (better there, she says, because someone directs you). That is a story about parking at Seoul Forest, not here, so it is not in the count.
• They do not agree on the prices. One calls ₩5,000 for an americano cheap for Seongsu; one calls ₩9,700 for a mini cake good value at today's prices; one finds the ₩6,000 cookie cheaper than most. Against that, one says the scones and cream desserts are dear enough that she hesitates to come often, and another that prices are "on the high side." Even the americano moves — ₩5,000 in May 2024, ₩5,500 that August, ₩5,000 again in April 2025. We cannot say which is current.
• This shop has no telephone number — which is why that field is empty on our page. It is not that we failed to find one: the writers say there isn't one. Two of them record the phone line as simply absent, and one gives the alternative: enquiries go to the Instagram account @greedy.hyphique. A whole cake has to be ordered ahead, and you cannot do it by phone. One writer was told whole cakes are pre-order only, at least two days in advance, and that you book either by walking in or by Instagram DM. Two others say the same thing — complete the order two days before pickup, or one to two days ahead. One post, though, says you can pre-order a whole cake through Naver. With four accounts not quite agreeing, checking the Instagram on the day is the reliable move. The small cakes need no booking — one writer confirms you can simply turn up and buy. But the popular designs go first: she found the one she wanted already sold out. The Dubai chewy cookies are not bookable at all and go out at fixed times (see the note on queuing above).
