A trotter house that is also a pocha, down a lane off Sangwon-gil by Ttukdo market; it opened in October 2025, which four of the posts we read remark on. Jokbal, ₩38,000 for a medium, and tofu with stir-fried kimchi at ₩15,000 are the core, with a board split half bossam, half trotter (₩58,000) and a spicy grilled version. Half the writing about this place is about the side dishes — a bean-sprout soup per person, a kimchi stew as standard, and eight or so plates of salted squid, acorn jelly, chive salad and pickles that are refilled as they empty. Lunch is a separate trade: everything but the bossam set is under ₩10,000 — bibimbap in a stone bowl at ₩9,500, soft tofu stew at ₩9,000 — and the offices nearby come for it. At night it is a work-dinner room, round tables pushed together for company parties while older locals drink alongside; they take reservations by phone. A few minutes' walk from Ttukseom station, inside a lane, with a sign two writers call hard to miss.

  **The centre of this place.** Writers describe skin with a chew to it and meat soft underneath, **clean-smelling with no muskiness, and a seasoning that does not shout** over the side dishes. **That it is not very sweet is counted as a virtue**: one writer, who normally gives up on trotter after a few pieces because of the sugar, ate a great deal of this one and called it braised exactly right. A third, there for a work dinner, caught **a faint scent of medicinal herbs** rising off the hot skin.

  **₩38,000**, per two posts that give the same figure. One calls the medium generous for its size; it fed two in one record and a family of three in another. **Nobody writes down what the large or small costs.**

The one who ordered it says **the portion is very large but the trotter far outweighs the bossam**, which is worth knowing if the boiled pork is what you came for. Of the bossam itself: badly boiled pork smells, and this did not; sliced thick and yielding.

  **₩15,000.** **Read this one carefully**: all twenty-four of the machine-written posts we set aside claim to have ordered the tofu and kimchi, **but only one real record of eating it exists** — and those twenty-four are copies of that record.

  **The side dishes are what writers dwell on.** One lists kimchi, salted squid, chive salad, pickles and bean-sprout salad, with **a bean-sprout soup served per person and a kimchi stew that comes as standard.** Another goes further — acorn jelly, raw garlic, stem-lettuce pickle, shredded radish, fried courgette — and notes that **empty dishes were refilled as they emptied**, the leaves were fresh and the soup arrived hot. A third was told **the oyster kimchi is made in house.** **Lunch is also well served**: five sides and a fried egg thrown in. **The complimentary kimchi stew divides them**, though: one records it flatly as standard, while another could not tell what it was — a kimchi soup of indeterminate flavour.

Getting inside

Nobody writes about wheelchair or pushchair access. In the six first-hand accounts the words ramp, threshold and step never appear. It is on the ground floor and appears to be entered straight from the lane, but whether there is a step, we do not know. What is recorded of the room is that there are many tables — one writer counts seating for more than forty — and that they are set well apart, with both round and square tables. So there is likely room to move; that is our inference and not a record. One family came with a child, but nobody mentions a high chair either.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 24 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• Twenty-four of the thirty posts were one person's write-up run through a machine, so we did not count them — the largest case we have met. They appeared across five days, 9 to 13 December 2025. Twelve of the blogs are named with meaningless strings of letters; the rest carry nicknames with no bearing on the shop. All twenty-four end with the same single hashtag, all twenty-four claim to have ordered a medium trotter and the tofu with kimchi, and all twenty-four repeat the same eight sentences — the wide-set tables, the absence of the usual trotter-house din, the neighbours from the flats around, the tofu generous and hot, no muskiness and a restrained seasoning, the varied lunch menu popular with local offices. The original is in our own corpus: a post from 20 November 2025, which contains every one of those eight sentences. The prices and even the detail that the bean-sprout soup comes per person were carried over verbatim. What one person saw in November, twenty-four wrote up in December as their own. Counting them would inflate every number on this page twenty-five fold. So we counted the six posts by people who went — 30 October 2025 to 4 March 2026. Six is a small number. Please read every "so many writers say" on this page as a count within those six. One example of what the machine produces. One of the twenty-four writes that parking was ample and convenient. In the six real accounts there is not one line about parking. Believe that sentence and we would be directing you to a car park nobody has seen.
• Nobody writes about floors — the address is the ground floor and the six posts leave it there. No upstairs, no private room in any of them. One records a company party with four round tables pushed together, which suggests a single room shared out.
• Nobody writes about the toilet. None of the six mentions it — whether it is inside, shared with the building, or separated by sex, we do not know — and this despite two of them being work dinners of several hours with drink.
• Nobody reports queueing. One lunchtime writer found most tables taken by people from nearby offices and counted the quick turnover as a virtue, but no one says they waited. In the evening one party booked by phone — worth doing for a work dinner — while another decided in a group chat that same Thursday afternoon and still found a table.
