A Neapolitan wood-fired pizzeria on the main street between Seoul Forest and Ttukseom station. The oven — built in Italy and shipped over — stands at the back of an open kitchen, and eleven writers describe watching the pizzas go in while they waited. Twenty-one of the twenty-four who went ordered the house pizza, the Darobe: no tomato, white cheeses and cooked prosciutto under a soft egg, and several call it the best thing they ate all year. Plenty still rate the plain margherita higher. There are only five pastas, and opinion splits between the mushroom porcini and the prawn langostino. The restaurant moved recently. Twelve writers mention it, and everyone who knew the old room says the same thing: it used to be cramped, and one puts the new place at hotel standard. Expect around ₩100,000 for three, and there is nowhere to park.

• 다로베21 ate it

  **The pizza the house is named after, ordered by twenty-one of the twenty-four who went.** A white pizza — no tomato — with buffalo mozzarella, cooked prosciutto, provolone, basil and grana padano, **a soft egg in the middle** and truffle oil. Several writers repeat that it won a 2018 competition. Praise is near-unanimous: one party of five all named it their best dish, another calls it the finest wood-fired pizza of her year. **You can add burrata**, which two people only learned afterwards and one insists you must not skip.

  **The price moved.** ₩27,000 in a July post, ₩28,000 in five August–September ones, and **₩29,000** in a September menu transcription — another post from the same week says ₩28,000, so one of them may simply have copied wrong. **All three are kept.** On saltiness people differ: two find the seasoning strong but say the flavour wins, while a returning visitor says it used to be too salty and no longer is. **The truffle and egg divide people** — one writer's companion found it rich, another calls it a pizza that does not read easily, and one thought it plain next to its elaborate name.

  **The one people order to test the kitchen, and twelve did.** Tomato, basil, grana padano, buffalo mozzarella, olive oil, nothing else. **Several rank it above the signature** — a table of four all chose it, one writer calls it overwhelmingly the best of the night, another says it is the one to order if you order only one.

  **Four writers single out the tomato sauce** as tasting cooked-down rather than jarred. **Three say the thin base shows best under simple toppings.** One, who has eaten in Italy, notes the dough is chewier and softer than the Neapolitan original — closer to Korean taste; another wanted it thinner or more baked. **It arrives cut into six.**

  **The pasta the kitchen calls its signature; eight ordered it.** Wild and button mushrooms in thyme cream with **large tubular paccheri**. One writer smelled the truffle across the room before the plate arrived; **three separately describe wiping the sauce up with the crust of their pizza.**

  **Two writers say to skip it if you dislike mushrooms** — one chose something else for exactly that reason. Three describe the tubular shape and all liked it. **On portion size the pastas all draw the same complaint** (see langostino).

  **The prawn pasta, ordered by eight.** Langostino and cherry tomato in a deep bisque with **spiralled vesuvio pasta**. Two writers name it the best pasta they have eaten. **Five describe the pasta shape itself**, one noting the sauce works its way inside the spiral so a single piece carries the whole flavour.

  **Five writers say the pastas are small for the price** — one was startled by how little arrived, another says the flavour is astonishing and the plate is not. **One disagrees**, but she was sharing across a table of five. **The prawn is assertive**: a writer who dislikes seafood says this was exactly her limit.

  **A salad that looks like a head of cabbage, and several of the seven who ordered it called it the best thing they ate.** Mini cos leaves with pecorino, black olive and chorizo in the dressing. One was thrown by the look of it — as if pulled from a flowerbed — and won over on the first bite; another says that at ₩21,000 she would still pay ₩25,000. **One writer reports it on every table in the room, alongside the Darobe pizza.**

  **Nobody calls it bad value, but the price always comes up** — ₩21,000. It is used as a palate-cleaner between pizza and pasta, in two writers' words. One found it rather like eating cabbage, and liked it anyway.

  **Ten pizzas and five pastas on the board**, and only seven writers ordered outside the two signatures, so little accumulates. **The calzone** (₩31,000, two writers) comes cut into three, with the staff advising you start from the middle where the filling sits. One who tried the capricciosa found it perfectly fine and nothing more, having just been floored by the Darobe. **The vongole** arrives shelled, which one writer was grateful for; **the bolognese** struck another as the most assertive plate of her three, more sauce than pasta.

  **Three writers could not read the menu.** One studied the Italian like a comprehension exercise and ended up showing the waiter a photograph; another asks whether it is just her; a third says the signature marks are too small and the paper was creased. **Drinks run to beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks, coffee — and sparkling water**, which one writer was glad of. One reports **corkage**, having watched other tables carry in champagne. **House-made gelato** is named by a single writer, so it is listed without a price.

Getting inside

We do not know whether it is step-free. Not one of the twenty-four accounts mentions a wheelchair, a pushchair, a ramp or a threshold. The address is a ground floor and the frontage is described as glass, but nobody says whether there is a step at the door. We would rather leave it unknown than guess — call 02-465-3666 if it matters.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 28 posts we gathered, 4 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

When the posts appeared

What we do not know

• There is nowhere to park. Ten writers record that the restaurant has no parking and point to public car parks nearby, four naming the Ttukseom retarding-basin lot. All of those lines sit in the information block at the top of the post, though — nobody writes about actually parking. Take the subway: six put it within five minutes of Ttukseom station exit 8. The afternoon break changes with the day. Nine writers give 15:00–17:00 on weekdays and four give 15:30–16:30 at weekends — but two put the weekend break at 16:00–17:00 and two say there is none at weekends at all. Only two accounts come from people who lived it, and they agree with each other: one was called in at 16:27 on a weekend, the other timed a Friday arrival for a 17:00 reopening. Check before you travel. Booking comes and goes. A party of five in July 2026 was told reservations were suspended and it was walk-in only for the time being; five writers in August and September booked through Catch Table without trouble. Two say weekends take neither bookings nor remote queueing, and one reports that weekday slots open in two-week blocks on the 16th and the last day of each month. The pastas are small — five writers say so independently, one startled by how little arrived for the price. The pizzas run the other way: two found a whole one more than one person needs. The television appearances and competition wins are not something we verified. A 2018 Caputo Cup title, a Naples pizza championship, a Blue Ribbon listing and mentions by Italian and Korean television personalities appear across many posts, but most of them are copied from newspaper articles and YouTube — one reproduces a Joongang Ilbo piece wholesale. The only such thing anyone reports seeing in the restaurant is a Red Ribbon sticker at the door. Four posts that merely summarise broadcasts were excluded from our count; one of them says outright that its author has never been. Two small things: one writer, at a table of five, was told each person had to order a drink. And three found the all-Italian menu hard to read — one gave up and ordered by showing the waiter a photograph.
• Nobody writes about floors. The address is the ground floor of the Grid Seongsu building and every post copies that, but no one says whether there is an upstairs or any steps inside. Several do describe tables running deep into the room and a table for larger parties.
