CHOVY
오스테리아 쵸비 Oseuteria Chyobi Osteria is the Italian word for a casual tavern, and Chovy comes from anchovy — posts relay the house's line that, like one small anchovy, an honest ingredient can change a whole dish.

Osteria Chovy is an Italian restaurant on the second floor of a red-brick building on Seoulsup 2-gil, between Seoul Forest and Ttukseom stations. Fresh and dried pasta is the core; pasta prices in the posts run from 22,000 to 29,000 won and steaks from 56,000 to 62,000 won. You order by QR code at the table and bread arrives first. A June 28, 2026 post describes a soft opening, and posts from July to September call it newly opened. We read 30 posts dated September 28, 2025 to September 30, 2026; 24 are meals here. The other 6 were about the pro gamer Chovy or a snack called Bichovy, and we set them aside.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ordering is by QR code at the table; sixteen posts ordered that way, and one says payment ran through Toss.
- Thirteen posts say the open kitchen faces you as you walk in. A wooden bar runs in front of it; one post saw a solo diner eating there.
- It is not bar-only: seven posts describe both the bar and table seating — two rooms divided by a mirrored wall, window two-tops, an L-shaped sofa corner and an eight-seat table.
- Ten posts mention the window seats; one notes potted plants along the sill and outside sounds drifting in when the windows are open.
5 more
- Thirteen posts call the staff kind, and say why: an ice cup for a guest dripping with sweat, a lemon non-alcoholic drink for someone who doesn't drink, and the chef coming out to shave truffle when one diner added it late.
- Three posts walked from the station — about 7 minutes and about 10 minutes from Seoul Forest Station. The 5-to-8-minute figures from Exit 5 or Ttukseom Exit 8 are copied info.
- Six posts went with friends, three as a couple and three with family. Two of the family visits brought a child; one asked when booking whether a baby was welcome and was told to come.
- Five posts got the cauliflower pickle free through a write-a-Naver-review promotion.
- One post notes there is no coffee on the drinks list; expecting an iced americano, they had sparkling wine and a cola instead.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 13 of 24 posts |
|---|---|
| Toilet inside | 2 of 24 posts |
Thirteen posts describe climbing stairs to the second floor. Several mention food posters along the stairwell; one says it is closer to a 2.5th floor.
No post mentions a lift, a step at the door, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. That means we don't know, not that there is none; the only way up anyone describes is the stairs.
Two posts say the restroom is inside the restaurant, down a short corridor to the right of the entrance. One describes a scented room and a toilet seat cover that renews at the push of a button. Whether it is shared or separate only appears in one post's copied info block (shared); no one wrote it from experience.
No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Ten posts call it clean, but one disagrees: it watched the chef, with no hair cover, push his fringe behind his ear more than five times and go back to handling food, and says a companion won't return.
- One post says the beef steak arrived long after the pasta was finished, and suggests asking for it to come with the other dishes.
- Only one post waited: it arrived for dinner without a booking, found the place full, left a name and number and got in a little under an hour and a half later. Six posts booked ahead. With one account we can't say how often there is a wait.
- Portions divide opinion: two posts found them small, while two said they looked small at first but were fine, or just right.
- One post calls it expensive. Prices changed over the summer: the Chovy pasta was 25,000 won in the July 28 and 31 posts and 23,000 won in four posts from August 23 to September 14; the truffle cream pappardelle went from 26,000 won in two July posts to 23,000 won on August 30; the beef steak from 62,000 won on July 31 to 58,000 won on September 14. A pasta runs 22,000 to 29,000 won.
- Several posts copy a corkage fee of 30,000 won a bottle. One post brought its own wine and paid no corkage thanks to a coupon.
- The opening bread changed: five posts from June 28 to August 2 describe sourdough, and posts from August 23 on describe two pieces of focaccia with basil oil. The pineapple and mint granita dessert was handed out free as a work in progress in four posts from late July to early August; the September 26 post ordered it.
- Opening hours appear in nineteen posts, but all except one copy the same listing: Wednesday to Sunday 11:30–22:00, break 15:00–17:30, last orders 14:00 and 21:00, closed Monday and Tuesday. One post gives the break as 15:00–17:00.
- Several posts give the same phone number, 0507-1470-5558. Bookings go through Naver and CatchTable, and several posts copy a notice of free sparkling wine for wedding-invitation dinners.
- Two posts disclose sponsorship and one says it paid its own way. Posts from late July to early August and from mid-September share near-identical titles and info blocks, and the summer ones repeatedly mention free bread, sparkling wine and dessert. They may be hosted reviews, but since they don't say so we counted them as undisclosed.
