차이나플레인 서울숲점 A coined English-style name (the shop's Instagram handle, quoted in one post, is chinaplane); 서울숲점 means the Seoul Forest branch.

A Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of a building on Ttukseom-ro 1-gil, a two-to-five-minute walk from Exit 1 of Seoul Forest Station. Jjajangmyeon is 12,000 won, seafood jjamppong 14,000, seafood stir-fried jjajang 15,000 and a regular sweet-and-sour pork 38,000; courses run 39,000 to 77,000 won per person. Separate private rooms make it a common pick for 100-day and first-birthday parties, family birthdays and work dinners, while many couples come for noodles and tangsuyuk. You order from a QR code at the table and pay on the way out. We read 30 posts from November 2025 to September 2026; 21 describe actually eating here, and one was dropped because it was about a different branch.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.
What sets it apart
- Sixteen of the 21 visit posts mention private rooms. One saw a room across from the main hall being set for eight with a first-birthday table; another says three rooms can be joined into one. A January 2026 post held a 100-day party here: the restaurant set the celebration table and asked the family to bring rice cakes and fruit. The minimum spend for that service (500,000 won) appears only as hearsay.
- Eight posts mention discounts. Several saw a weekday-lunch board by the door, and two copied the same rotation: japchae rice Monday, Nagasaki jjamppong Tuesday, XO seafood fried rice Wednesday, seafood jjamppong (noodles or rice) Thursday, seafood stir-fried jjajang Friday. One post puts the deal at 12,000 won. Three posts say a review earns a free drink or three dumplings.
- Thirteen posts say the frying was crisp, across tangsuyuk, chili prawns, dumplings, yuringi and lajogi; two describe a glutinous-rice batter. No post complains of soggy batter.
- Ten posts describe walking from the subway: two to five minutes from Exit 1 of Seoul Forest Station, and about seven from Ttukseom Station on Line 2 according to two posts.
1 more
- Four posts note the drinks, especially wine: a corner called the Seoul Forest Liquor Lab stocks wine, traditional liquor and baijiu, and one post says there is a table inside the storage room itself.

Parking
3 posts say you can park. None say you cannot.
| Posts saying you can park | 3 of 20 posts |

Three posts actually parked. Several say the building's underground lot gives one free hour with a 20,000-won spend, then 1,000 won per 10 minutes up to 6,000. One January 2026 post said two free hours, and one May 2026 post copied 'nearby paid lots'. One post reminds you to ask for parking validation at the counter.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 1 (of 20 posts read) |
|---|---|
| Step-free access | 1 of 20 posts |
Only one post speaks to the floor: a June 2026 visitor says it is at street level with no stairs. No post mentions a basement or upstairs seating.
One post says wheelchairs and strollers can enter without stairs or an elevator. Nobody mentions whether there is a threshold step or a ramp; that is unknown, not absent.
No post says whether the toilet is inside the restaurant or shared with the building; 'separate men's and women's toilets' appears only in a copied info block, so we don't count it.
No one mentioned: Second floor · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Toilet inside · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 8 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Eleven posts call the room spacious; one self-paid post from May 2026 said it was smaller than expected and felt like a neighborhood place.
- Two posts found it expensive: one said the 15,000-won seafood jjajang was small and 12,000 won for dumplings too much; the other, self-paid, called prices steep and the taste ordinary and doubted a return visit. Most other posts don't discuss price at all.
- No post reports waiting. One September 2026 visitor arrived just before dinner and sat right down; a December 2025 post saw a waiting list and chairs at the door. One post advises arriving early for weekday lunch, but nobody gives a wait time.
- Speed is split: a December 2025 post found the course slow (and liked it), while an August 2026 post said everything arrived within ten minutes in a full room. With one post each, we can't tell whether anything changed.
- Side dishes changed: a June 2026 post had cabbage pickle and zha cai brought to the table and refilled several times, while a September 2026 post says a self-serve bar had just opened with sides, rice and egg soup. Only one post so far mentions the bar.
- Corkage is unclear: a November 2025 post says it is free, while two 2026 posts copy 'paid corkage' from the listing. Nobody actually brought a bottle.
- Fourteen posts give opening hours, mostly copied from the listing: weekdays 11:00-21:00 with a 15:00-17:00 break and last order 20:20; weekends 11:00-20:00, last order 19:20. Two posts from late 2025 said weekends open at 11:30, one with a 20:30 close. Only one post mentions closing days, saying it is open year-round.
- Nine posts give the phone number 0507-1301-8493; one list post gives 02-2088-8493. A copied block says reservations go through Naver Booking and CatchTable, and three posts say they booked ahead. Three posts from late 2025 mention a free bottle of Yantai baijiu for pre-booked year-end parties.
- Much of the coverage is promotional: two posts disclose sponsorship, three say they paid, and sixteen say nothing. Three posts from June-July 2026 repeat the same line about a new chef 'renewing' the menu in the same order; that is the restaurant's claim and we don't rely on it. Three posts saw photos and signatures of the president and celebrities at the entrance.
