BACO occupies one container unit at Understand Avenue, across from exit 4 of Seoulsup station. It is built around people who run: numbered steel lockers take your bag while you go, and logging the distance takes money off the drink. It opens at seven. An americano is ₩4,000 to sit and ₩2,500 to carry out. The house dessert is ice cream made from ube, the Philippine purple yam. The posts we read run from late March to early September 2026.

What sets it apart
- Nearly every post mentions that proving your distance takes money off. What it takes off varies: two posts record 15% on any drink, a bagel and cream cheese for ₩3,000 at 5km and free at 10km; two describe a free americano for 5km logged during weekday commuting hours; one says up to half. Five mention a bottle of water simply for logging a run that day. In March the shop handed out cream and a zip bag so runners could shake butter on the way and collect a baguette for it; in April, four people totalling 20km got chocolate. It changes monthly, so it is worth checking before you go.
- Six posts mention that the shop keeps your bag. There are numbered steel lockers; you leave your bag and jacket, run, and collect them after. Two note it costs nothing. One writer makes this the whole point of the place — that arriving back sweaty, which is awkward in an ordinary café, is not awkward here.
- Eleven posts say the seats are comfortable. Several describe camping or fishing chairs rather than café chairs; one likens the mesh to a hammock, another says you can drop into them after a run. One writer had braced for the unsittable steel furniture of Seongsu cafés and was relieved.
- What you pay depends on whether you sit. An americano is ₩4,000 in the room and ₩2,500 in your hand, a gap several posts stop to note, and two say it applies beyond the coffee. Three suggest carrying it into Seoul Forest, which is across the road. One adds that the takeaway discount and the running discount cannot be combined.

There is no parking. Four posts say so plainly and two point to public or paid lots nearby. One lists 'public car park', which is not the shop's own either. It is within a hundred metres of exit 4 at Seoulsup station, so walking is the answer.

Getting there
Naver Map has a full English mode — Settings → Language → English. In Korea it gives better walking and transit directions than Google Maps.
Getting inside
Not one post says whether a wheelchair or a pushchair gets in. Whether there is a lip at the door, how wide it opens, whether there is room to turn inside — none of the seventeen writers raises it. In a converted container that is not a small question, and the silence is all we have. It does not mean yes and it does not mean no; it means nobody said.

Of the 30 posts we gathered, 13 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Thirteen of the thirty posts we found about this shop recite the same copy, so we did not count them. They went up between 3 and 8 April 2026 — six days — and repeat the same sentences almost word for word: the house-made ube base, the special blend that sets the shake apart from syrup-led ones, the purple layers that owe nothing to dye. One of them leaves the brief's own bullet endings in the prose. Not one discloses being paid. The resemblance is not our only reason. All thirteen give the opening hours as 07:00–21:00, which no first-hand post gives; nine of them describe a butter-rice-cake item and all thirteen name an ube shake, neither of which appears in a single first-hand post; and the ube ice cream that first-hand visitors order more than anything else appears in none of the thirteen. The people who went and the people who wrote were looking at different menus. We have not deleted anything — the links are there to follow. Every count on this page is out of seventeen.
- The closing time differs by when the post was written. Five posts from March and July give 07:00–20:00 daily; seven from August and September give 07:00–18:00 on weekdays and 07:00–19:00 at weekends. It looks as though the shop pulled its closing time forward after the summer, but we have not asked. The seven o'clock opening is the one thing every post agrees on.
- Six posts mention ice cream given for writing a Naver review — a photo and twenty characters, by one account, with an extra raffle ticket for tagging the shop in an Instagram story, by two. None of the seventeen first-hand posts discloses sponsorship; four say they paid, one states it is not an ad, and the remaining twelve say nothing either way. Saying nothing is not the same as taking nothing.
- Not one post describes queueing. None of the seventeen first-hand accounts mentions waiting; one passes on hearsay that weekends get busy. Going the other way, one writer counted three people carrying coffee out during an hour sitting there on a weekday afternoon, and another describes it as where people working nearby stop on the way in and out. It reads like a shop with more people passing through than settling in — but on queues we have no evidence to offer.
- No post describes the floor or any steps. The address says ground floor and two posts note the building is made of containers, but nobody writes whether you step up to get in. One line mentions stairs and chairs above them, and we could not tell whether that is this shop's entrance or another unit at Understand Avenue.
- We could not establish whether the toilet is inside. One post mentions what looks like a toilet door beside the lockers at the back, and hedges it. The other sixteen do not raise the subject at all, and none says whether the toilets are separated or whether there is an accessible one. If you need to know, the shop's number is on this page — and do tell us, and we will put it here.
