Taecho Galbi is a hanu beef grill on the second floor of a building on Eoulmadang-ro, a short walk from Hongik University Station exit 9. Staff grill everything at your table; the udae-galbi rib is first seared over tall flames at a central station. Posts from July 2026 on list the S set (200 g chuck flap, one rib, ssamjang rice stew) at 125,000 won, and most diners added brisket (38,000–39,000 won per 100 g) or beef tartare (24,000 won). Nine posts went as a couple, four with friends, three as families with children. We read 30 posts from March 2025 to October 2026; 25 of them describe an actual meal.

What sets it apart
- Staff do all the grilling: 24 of the 25 meal posts say so, the 25th being a one-line diary entry. The order is chuck flap, then brisket, then the rib, with a giant pepper mill brought out midway. Several posts describe the rib being cut off the bone, re-grilled and arranged with pineapple and cherry tomatoes as a smiley face. One noticed the coals being swapped for fresh ones when they burned low.
- The rib arrives pre-seared — 19 posts say so. The searing happens behind glass in the middle of the room with tall flames that, posts say, have other diners filming. Four posts note that this open station lets you watch the cooking.
- It is close to the subway: 20 posts put it one to three minutes' walk from Hongik University Station exit 9, and one family said this made coming by transit with kids easy.

It is on the second floor. Eleven posts describe going up, five of them by the stairs, whose walls are covered with Polaroids left by past guests.
No one mentioned a step at the door, a lift, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller. Five posts simply climbed the stairs to the second floor — that does not mean there is no lift, only that nobody said.
We do not know about the toilets. The line about separate men's and women's restrooms is copied from the restaurant's listed amenities; no one described using them.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 29 posts we gathered, 5 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Prices have risen. The S set was 113,000 won in March and May 2025 (rib finger meat, rib, ssamjang stew), 122,000 won in February–May 2026 (chuck flap, rib, ssamjang rice stew) and 125,000 won from July 2026. The M set went from 186,000 to 195,000 won. Opinions split one to one on whether it is reasonable or pricey. The only full bill we have is about 200,000 won for two, for the S set plus brisket and three sides.
- We know little about waiting. No post describes queuing. One found no wait at 4:30 on a weekday but a full room after 5:30; another had space at 6:30 pm and a full house after 7:30. One saw it full at 8 pm on a weekday. Six posts booked ahead.
- Opening hours are copied from listings. Of the 21 meal posts that give hours, 19 agree on noon to 11:30 pm daily, last order 10:30 pm, no closing day. One March 2025 post says noon to 11 pm and one August 2026 post says noon to 10:30 pm.
- Most posts give the phone number 0507-1337-4590; one March 2025 post lists 010-2733-4590. Several copy that reservations go through Naver booking, and two say groups of up to 29 can book.
- Many posts from July 2026 follow one template: S set plus brisket, tartare and an ade, with the same lines about six-herb Maldon salt at 13,000 won, a lucky-box draw before 5 pm, '1++ grade No. 8–9 beef' and 'six weeks of grilling training'. None discloses sponsorship; one says the writer paid. We treat the beef grade, staff training and ageing claims as the restaurant's own marketing, not evidence. Three templated posts from one blog, one top-20 list and one review with no sign of a meal were not counted.
