Suttori Hongdae Hapjeong-jeom
숯토리 홍대합정점 Sut is Korean for charcoal and tori is the Japanese word for bird, as in yakitori — the name says charcoal-grilled chicken skewers.
Compiled from 27 blog posts read in fullSources →
Suttori Hongdae-Hapjeong is a charcoal yakitori izakaya on the ground floor of a side street (Dongmak-ro 9-gil) between Sangsu and Hapjeong stations, one branch of the Suttori chain. The most-ordered things are the chicken tail skewers (5,500 won for two in September–October posts), a five-piece kushikatsu plate (6,000 won) and draft beer in a frosted glass (3,500 won); sets run from 20,400 won to 38,900–42,900 won for the 'sutmakase' platters. You order from a tablet or kiosk at the table. A February 2026 post called it newly opened. We read 30 posts dated 16 February to 9 October 2026; 27 describe an actual visit, two were about other restaurants and one was a sign-maker's design review.

Rows without a count: 10 of 14 posts.
Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Nine posts said it is roomy for a Hongdae izakaya — 'long and wide', 'the tables are big' — and one listed a window bar counter, tables for four, six and eight, and a group room. Seven posts noted both bar seats and tables, and several mentioned partitions between tables.
- Ten posts mentioned a free starter: shredded cabbage with a sweet-sour dressing and prawn crackers, with soy, shichimi and sansho on every table. One wished for something sharper, like pickled radish or jalapeño.
- Seven posts ordered from a table tablet or kiosk; two noted that its idle screen suggests a sauce for each cut. Skewers arrive a plate at a time as they come off the grill, each with a little name tag.
- Six posts mentioned the review offer: write a receipt or photo review and get a fruit highball or two spicy tail skewers, once per table. One couple got it twice by mistake.
5 more
- Eleven posts said it is cheap and none called it expensive. One couple drank three bottles of soju and paid under 15,000 won each; another said the 38,900-won set fed two and a half to three. Six posts said portions were generous.
- Four posts described the window seats with the windows thrown open, 'half inside, half outside'; one solo diner was seated there. Three posts mentioned terrace or outdoor seats.
- Eight posts said it is an easy walk from the subway: 5–6 minutes from Sangsu Station exit 1, 8–12 minutes from Hapjeong.
- Of the posts that said who they came with, six were couples or spouses, four came with friends, two with a younger sibling, one with a group of six colleagues and one alone. Several came for a second round after dinner elsewhere.
- Four posts noted it is a chain branch; one had seen Suttori in Jongno, Sinchon, Bucheon and Sillim.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.
From the station
Eight posts said it is an easy walk from the subway: 5–6 minutes from Sangsu Station exit 1, 8–12 minutes from Hapjeong.
Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 7 of 27 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 3 of 27 posts |
No post described the floor from experience; the address says ground floor and posts mention seeing in from the street, but nobody actually wrote about it.
No post said whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or pram can get in — not that it can't, just that no one wrote about it. 'No high chair' appears only in one copied info box.
Seven posts said the toilet is inside the restaurant, three of them that it is separated by gender; five called it clean, mostly about the toilet.
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 28 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Two tail skewers cost 5,000 won in April–May 2026 posts and 5,500 won (2,800 for one) in September–October; we don't know exactly when it changed. Kushikatsu (6,000), heart (2,500) and the house draft (3,500) held steady.
- More than ten posts agree on the hours: Sunday–Thursday 18:00–04:00, Friday–Saturday 17:00–04:00, last order 03:00, mostly copied into an info box. Two wrote 'daily 18:00–04:00' and one gave different times altogether. 'No closing day' appears only in two copied info boxes.
- Only two posts dealt with waiting and they split: one hit a queue on a Friday evening, one walked straight in on a weekday. Several found it full at 9–10 pm on weekdays but didn't mention queuing; one saw a CatchTable waitlist device at the door.
- Six posts give the phone number 0507-1398-1496. None booked ahead — one group of six walked in without a reservation — and 'reservations accepted' appears only in copied info boxes.
- Around fifteen of the visit posts carry the identical keyword trio 'Hapjeong bar izakaya / Sangsu station bar / Hongdae date izakaya' in their titles and hashtags — the pattern of commissioned copy — yet none discloses sponsorship. Four say they paid for themselves, two only in a hashtag. Treat the praise for taste and atmosphere in that cluster accordingly.
