Cafe

Lucifel

루치펠 대저택 Luchipel Daejeotaek Daejeotaek means 'grand mansion' — the café is staged as a noble house whose butlers welcome guests home as young ladies and young masters.

Compiled from 23 blog posts read in fullSources →

Lucifel Daejeotaek is a butler café in a lane off Wausan-ro 17-gil in Mapo, between Sangsu and Hapjeong. Butlers who address guests as 'young lady' or 'young master' drop by the table while you work through an afternoon tea set (20,000 won for one, 38,000 won for two) over a standard one-hour slot; with the 10,000-won entry fee per person, one post puts two people at 58,000 won minimum. You knock three times to enter, and you ring a bell for everything — pouring tea, lowering a plate — or get playfully scolded. Photos or video showing the butlers are not allowed. We read 30 posts from May 2025 to October 2026; 24 describe a visit, 4 turned out to be about other places (such as the sister shop Occult), and 2 did not visit. Nine of the 24 visits come from one regular.

The values differ, but the periods they were written in do not overlap. This looks like a change over time rather than a disagreement, and the top row is the most recently reported. We did not confirm it with the restaurant.

What sets it apart

  1. This is a book-ahead place. Eighteen posts booked through Naver, choosing the ground-floor or upstairs 'house' at booking. Some say walk-ins work, but a May 2026 post that dropped in without a booking was turned away as fully booked. Arriving early does not get you in sooner: one writer was sent back for showing up ten minutes before a 7 pm slot, and several waited a few minutes by the door or fountain until their name was checked. Entrance and exit are separate doors, and two posts walked in through the exit by mistake.
  2. Ten posts say every guest must order the afternoon tea set. It includes one drink; sodas such as melon soda cost 2,000 won extra. Several note the whole table has to share one tea, one being told it was because space is tight. The tiers are heavy, so you ask a butler to lift plates down rather than doing it yourself.
  3. The base slot is one hour; twelve posts mention the hour or extending it. Extension prices differ: 7,000 won per person per hour in two posts, 28,000 won for two people for two hours in one, and 10,000 won an hour as told to another. One post was told extensions are refused if the next slot is booked. Staff give a ten-minute warning, clear the dessert and announce your 'outing'; one post was ushered out three minutes early, another rushed a photo because orders stop after 40 minutes.
  4. Thirteen posts watched or heard the butlers' song-and-dance shows. The stage is at the back of the ground floor, and the lights cut out and snap back on during a show. Several posts got to watch shows other guests had paid for, and one seated upstairs heard the ground-floor show. One post lists a half show at 11,000 won, another a full show for two (three songs) at 120,000 won.
4 more
  1. Five posts found the desserts very sweet, one leaving most of them untouched. Several say plainly that people don't come for the food. One post, by contrast, loved the scones and sandwiches and found the portions generous.
  2. Three posts were handed a member card at the table, decorated with a butler's drawing; they were told three visits earn a plastic card.
  3. Fourteen posts went with friends and two went alone. Three brought a friend for a birthday, and noting it in the booking message got the butlers taking turns to congratulate. Posts also saw plenty of solo guests, and men come too, addressed as 'young master'.
  4. Five posts arrived by subway and walked: two from Sangsu station, one about ten minutes from Hapjeong, and one that found it closer than Hongik University station (it wrote 'Seongsu', almost certainly meaning Sangsu).

From the station

Getting inside

Second floor8 of 23 posts
Toilet inside1 of 23 posts

The house is split between the ground floor ('Bestia') and the upper floor ('Inferis Royal'). Eight posts mention the upper floor or sat there. Each floor has its own butlers, and on a day only the ground floor was open, the upstairs butlers worked downstairs. A claim that the upper floor is cramped was secondhand, so we did not count it.

No post mentions a basement; guests are seated only on the ground and upper floors.

No post says whether there is a step or stairs at the entrance, whether a wheelchair or stroller can get in, or whether a lift serves the upper floor — unknown, not absent. Several only describe entering through an arch into the garden and past the fountain.

Only one post mentions the toilet: asked where it was, a butler pointed to 'the flower garden', and its ceiling was hung with flowers. Whether it is split by gender, or how big it is, is unknown.

No one mentioned: In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot

Of the 25 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.

We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know

  • It is not quiet. Three posts found the show music too loud to talk over — one said back-to-back requests made it feel more concert hall than café, one was seated right beside the stage, one could not hear a butler over the singing.
  • Three posts found it expensive and one called it reasonable. Beyond the set and entry fee, photos (13,000 won), the lucky draw (5,000 won) and shows add up fast: one group of three spent about 160,000 won, a pair nearly 350,000 won. Several also felt the end-of-slot push for photos, shows and extensions was a hard sell.
  • Opinions on space split one to one: one post found it fairly roomy, seating close to thirty, the other found the tables close together.
  • Only one post addresses queuing: because it is booking-only, there is no need to wait outside. We did not count the few minutes before a slot as a queue. On a waiting area, one post simply sat out front until its slot.
  • Hours all come from copied info blocks. Opening is consistently 2 pm; most give 10 pm as closing, while one regular's July and September 2026 posts say 9:30 pm. That regular's posts from November 2025 to April 2026 listed Thursday as the day off, a line that disappeared from July, and other posts of the same period simply say 'daily'. It did open for a Christmas event on Thursday 25 December 2025. We cannot tell whether the hours actually changed.
  • Seven posts list the phone number 0507-1436-3408, but the info block one regular copies says phone enquiries are not taken — use Instagram. Bookings go through Naver.
