Pyeongi Dambaek Ppyeo Kalguksu
평이담백 뼈칼국수 Pyeongi dambaek pairs 'plain and unfussy' with 'clean and light-tasting' (the sign reads 'a clean bowl without greed'), and ppyeo kalguksu is knife-cut noodle soup made with pork neck bones.

Pyeongi Dambaek Ppyeo Kalguksu's flagship sits on a side street in Seogyo-dong between Mangwon and Hapjeong stations (84 Yanghwa-ro 7-gil). Its namesake dish, ppyeo kalguksu (12,000 won), is knife-cut noodles in a clear pork-bone broth with about two large neck bones and a pile of shredded egg. But counting what people actually ordered, the bossam pork plate (medium, 42,000 won) leads with 16 posts, and since ordering it lets you add anchovy kalguksu (10,500 won on its own) for 5,000 won, many posts ate the two together. Noodle bowls run 10,500 to 12,500 won; the free side dishes are fresh-made kimchi and cubed radish kimchi. We read 30 posts from 1 September to 19 October 2026; one was about a different restaurant and was set aside, and 29 describe an actual meal here.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- It looks small from the street but is roomy inside: 19 of the 29 visit posts said so. One writer expected a tiny room until finding a hidden back section; another counted more than ten four-person tables, nearly all full on a holiday. Several posts mention extra seating further in, but none describes a closed private room.
- Fourteen posts called the place clean, and they point to the same things: five describe a cutlery box that covers the eating end so you only touch the handles, and two mention a tidy open kitchen.
- Twelve posts said the pork and bone meat had no gamey smell, and none said otherwise. One writer had worried about a clear pork broth and found it had no smell at all.
- Thirteen posts said portions were large. Two pairs couldn't finish a medium bossam, one writer was surprised by the size of the 15,000-won half plate, and several said the 5,000-won add-on anchovy noodles were a full bowl.
3 more
- Five posts saw high chairs for babies. One family went with their infant, and another writer said it was nearly the first place around Mangwon and Hapjeong where they'd seen one.
- Five posts found the owner or staff friendly. Two had their kimchi refilled generously; one says staff brought an apron unasked for a friend in white, and another that at 2:45 staff warned the break started at 3 before taking a last drink order.
- Six posts are by repeat visitors, including one who has lost count, one who still comes after leaving a job nearby, and one returning after a winter visit.

Three posts said in their own words there is no dedicated parking, and one saw what looked like room for about three cars in front and to the left. Other 'no parking' lines are copied info. The one writer who drove used a nearby public street lot.

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Toilet inside | 5 of 29 posts |
|---|---|
| Separate restrooms | 1 of 29 posts |
No post describes the floor from experience; '1st floor' appears only in one copied address. We don't know whether there is a basement or upper level.
We don't know whether there is a step at the door or whether a wheelchair or stroller gets in. One family went with a baby but said nothing about a stroller.
Five posts said from experience that the toilet is inside the restaurant. Separate men's and women's toilets appear in many copied info boxes, but only one writer described seeing them (and found them clean).
No one mentioned: Second floor · In a basement · Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

What we do not know
- Posts disagree on how the pork is sliced: five said thick, two said thin.
- Opinions on the spicy versions differ: four posts found them warming rather than hot, one found them hotter than expected (the writer's mother said a bit too hot), and one said the mixed noodles were mild while the clam noodles had a kick.
- We can't say how long the wait is: no post reports waiting. Two walked straight in, and three didn't wait but heard lunchtime has a queue. Two noticed waiting seats by the door, and several found it nearly full at holiday lunch or weekday dinner.
- Three posts describe getting there by transit: a short walk from a bus stop, an easy walk from Mangwon Station exit 1, and about five minutes on foot. The '427 m from exit 1' figure is copied info.
- Opening hours: 25 posts list the same hours, daily 11:00–22:00 with a 15:00–17:00 break, but all copied from listings. First-hand, one post walked in at 11:00 on a Sunday and another was told at 2:45 that the break starts at 3. One copied line says it never closes.
- A few prices disagree. Most posts say the anchovy noodle add-on with bossam is 5,000 won, but one says 3,000 won and another gives both 6,000 and 5,000 in the same post. The mixed noodles are 11,500 won in most posts and 11,000 in one. Many mention a 10% discount for firefighters, soldiers and police, but only two say they saw the notice.
- Many posts give the same phone number, 0507-1435-3454. On reservations, the only line is one copied note that CatchTable bookings and waitlisting are possible; no post says they booked.
- This is the original branch of a franchise: one post notes there are many branches and this is the head shop, and another copied the chain's website. Posts about other branches are not counted here.
- The clam kalguksu (12,000 won) was new in September 2026. A 16 September post found it sold out by lunch; a 23 September writer failed once, then came at 11:30 and got it during a weekday half-price promotion. We don't know if the discount continues or if it is now on the printed menu.
- No post discloses sponsorship and one says the writer paid. Two posts share an identical 20-hashtag block, others carry nearly the same set, and several repeat the discount, review-event and side-dish notes in the same form, which suggests commissioned posts; each still records a real meal, so we counted them. TV appearances and awards are copied claims and we did not rely on them.
