Nusantaraku
누산타라쿠 Nusantaraku Nusantara is the old name for the Indonesian archipelago and -ku means 'my', so the name reads as 'my Indonesia'.

An Indonesian restaurant on the second floor of a building at 136-6 Eoulmadang-ro in Mapo, near Hongik University station. It serves single plates of marinated grilled chicken, grilled beef ribs or lamb over fried or plain rice, plus mi goreng, nasi padang with rendang, and bakso. Plates cost 10,000 to 17,000 won in the posts, and you order by ticking a paper sheet. Several posts say only plain rice is served on Mondays. We read 30 posts from January 2025 to September 2026; 28 describe an actual visit.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- Ten posts say most of the other diners were foreigners, with lines like 'only three Korean groups including us' and 'over 90% of customers were foreign'. Several add that the staff were Indonesian. On the owner, one post thought they were Indonesian while another mentions a Korean owner.
- Six posts found the food salty, one saying everything was very salty and she drank water all night. One post disagreed, finding the nasi goreng milder than expected.
- Seven posts call it hot, mostly about the sambal served on the side and the smashed spicy fried chicken. One warns that too much sauce hits like a mouthful of wasabi; another says the small cup of chili with the grilled chicken set her mouth on fire.
- Six posts say portions are large: a big plate of mi goreng, a chicken leg big enough to leave one stuffed, three people well fed. No post called them small.

- Five posts say it is close to the station: four give exit 8 of Hongik University station, two to three minutes on foot, and one says near exit 4.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Getting inside
| Second floor | 5 of 24 posts |
|---|---|
| In a basement | yes 0 · no 5 (of 24 posts read) |
| Toilet inside | 2 of 24 posts |
| Separate restrooms | yes 0 · no 1 (of 24 posts read) |
Five posts note it is upstairs on the second floor, and posts describe the stairs as narrow and steep, a narrow metal staircase. No one mentions a lift.
No post mentions getting in with a wheelchair or pushchair, or a step at the door. Posts only describe climbing narrow, steep stairs to the second floor. That means no one wrote about it, not that access is impossible.
Only two posts mention the toilet: one says it is a shared toilet right next to their table, the other that there is one inside. Whether it is split by gender rests on that one 'shared' remark.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 26 posts we gathered, 2 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post records an actual wait. One arrived around 12:30 with free tables and saw what looked like a queue on the way out; another guessed that, with few tables, waiting is almost a given.
- Posts disagree on size: four found it small or the tables close together, while one called it very spacious and sat in a room-like area at the back. One counted nine four-seat and two two-seat tables.
- Two posts (September 2025, January 2026) call it tidy; one from March 2025 found it somewhat disorganised, with what seemed like one person working alone.
- Prices have gone up: iga bakar with fried rice was 15,000 won in January 2025 and January 2026 but 17,000 won by September 2026, and nasi padang went from 15,000 to 16,000 won. Three posts found prices reasonable; one thought 10,000 won for stir-fried morning glory was steep.
- Eight posts give the same hours, 11:00 to 23:00 daily, four of them with last orders at 22:00; three of those are copied listings. Three posts say there is no afternoon break, and one ate there around 3 pm. No post mentions a closing day. Four posts note that on Mondays fried rice, mi goreng and morning glory are off the menu.
- Two posts give the phone number 02-332-4207, one from a copied listing. No post describes booking by phone.
