Hanudaum Hongdae Bonjeom
한우다움 홍대본점 Hanu is Korea's native beef and -daum means 'true to its nature', so the name reads roughly as 'beef the way Hanu should be' — one post quotes the house line about adding nothing to the meat.

A Hanu beef grill on the second and third floors of 34 Yanghwa-ro 16-gil, south of Hongik Univ. Station, opened in September 2026. Single cuts run 38,000–46,000 won per 100 g and platters or sets 149,000–249,000 won, and staff grill everything over charcoal at your table. Many diners finish with truffle rib pot rice (29,000), beef doenjang stew (9,000) or bone-broth cold noodles (10,000). We read 13 posts dated 9 September to 5 October 2026; 12 of them describe an actual meal. All appeared within four weeks of opening, and although only two disclose sponsorship, several share identical sentences, so we treat the set as partly promotional.

Counted from what bloggers wrote in their posts; we did not confirm it with the restaurant. Where the values differ, it may be a change over time rather than a disagreement, so we show when each one was written.
What sets it apart
- You do not grill here. Eleven of the 12 posts describing a meal say a staff member grilled from first piece to last. Doneness is your choice — posts mention a 30–90% scale and rare to well-done — and one got the tenderloin medium-rare. Two posts note that cooked meat is kept warm on a small brazier.
- There are window seats. Five posts sat beside the floor-to-ceiling windows, and two mention a child or a father watching the Hongdae street crowd below.
- Two posts say the six-week aged tenderloin (43,000 won per 100 g) has a two-portion minimum.
- Three posts walked from Hongik Univ. Station; one took exit 5 and turned into the alley beside Milo Coffee. The '479 m from exit 9' line in several posts is copied from map listings.

Where it is

We could not find this shop’s own listing on Naver Map, so the link searches for its Korean name around this spot instead.

Expect stairs. Four posts climbed to the second-floor entrance, and one warned that the stairs are steep for older relatives. No one mentioned a lift, a step at the door, or getting in with a wheelchair or stroller — we don't know.
One post says the restroom is up on the third floor, which the restaurant also occupies. Separate men's and women's rooms appear only in one post's copied info block, so we did not count it; no one described accessibility or size.
No one mentioned: Lift to the floor · Ramp at the door · Step at the entrance · Step-free access · Accessible toilet · Separate restrooms. That is not the same as there being none — it means we could not confirm it. Worth calling ahead, and do tell us: we will put it here.

Posts that followed a TV spot
Of the 13 posts we gathered, 1 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- No post mentions waiting. Four booked ahead and one arrived right at opening. That is not evidence there is no queue — just that nobody wrote about one, and every post is from the first month.
- Company: family in four posts (parents, a mother, a daughter), a partner in two, a friend in one. Only one brought a child, and no one mentioned high chairs or kids' options.
- Ten posts list the hours as noon to 11 pm daily; eight give last order as 10:20 pm and one as 10 pm. All are copied from listings, and none mentions a closing day.
- Opinions on price split: two posts call it reasonable, one says it is on the pricey side, and one says it shouldn't be judged on price alone. From what posts ordered, two people sharing a 400 g special-cut platter with stew and rice spend around 150,000 won, and a set with sides goes past 200,000. One post lists the Hanudaum set at 198,000 won; the rest say 199,000.
- The truffle rib pot rice divides opinion: one post found it too much to finish, another thought it small for two.
- Free corkage is repeated in more than five posts, but always as copied store info — nobody actually brought a bottle. The anniversary sparkling wine and review-event freebies are likewise relayed, not observed.
- Six posts give the phone number as 0507-1391-5144; one lists 010-2872-5144. One post relays that bookings go through Naver or CatchTable.
- Some posts follow a shared template: two repeat nearly identical lines about the side dishes and the sparkling wine and parking info, and two list the same twelve side dishes in the same order. Only two of the 13 disclose sponsorship. One of the 13 is a charcoal-igniter supplier's installation ad, which we did not count as a visit.
