Chihiro's Hongdae branch is a Japanese rice-bowl restaurant tucked down an alley off Wausan-ro 29ba-gil, near exits 7 and 8 of Hongik Univ. Station. Tendon is 13,000 won, sake-don 15,000, and horumon-don (beef intestine) or Iberico-don 17,000; you order on a tablet or kiosk at the table and a tray of broth, cabbage salad and white kimchi arrives first. Two posts waited: one arrived at 1:50 pm to find eight groups ahead and waited about 20 minutes; another gave up on a weekend lunch because the line was too long, then came back on a Friday evening. What we do not know
- Speed is split two to two. Of the two slow reports, one waited over 20 minutes while the kitchen batched the same dish for other tables; two other posts said food came quickly.
- Dishes sell out: four posts that went at 2 pm, after 1 pm on a weekday, or in the evening found much of the menu sold out.
- Opening hours: 15 posts give 11:00–22:00 with last order at 21:00, but two late-September 2026 posts give 11:00–21:00, one adding last order at 20:30 and closure on the first and third Tuesday of each month, while a November 2025 post said there is no regular closing day. Most of these are copied listings, so check before you go.
- Prices held steady throughout: tendon at 13,000 and horumon-don at 17,000 appear identically in posts from late 2025 and autumn 2026. Two posts felt the katsu-don wasn't worth it, one likening it to a 5,500-won bowl.
- The phone number 0507-1411-3004 appears in three posts. Two posts booked ahead — one said it got them seated right away.
- Five posts from November 2025 to January 2026 repeat the same hashtag set and the same 'salmon bowl near Hongik Univ. Station' phrasing, and one pastes the owner's own blurb. None disclose sponsorship, but they may be commissioned; we counted them because each records an actual meal.
