Charr is the buffet restaurant on the 4th floor of the RYSE hotel, near exit 9 of Hongik University station. It serves hotel breakfast in the morning and a carving-station buffet at lunch and dinner, with tomahawk and lobster added at dinner; several posts describe staff slicing the meat onto a grill so you can finish it to your liking. 2026 posts give 59,000 won for weekday lunch, 69,000 won for weekend lunch and 95,000 won for dinner. In June 2025 it was 49,000 and 89,000 won, with an American home-style menu such as chicken pot pie. What sets it apart

- Posts that reached a verdict on price mostly found it fair: 11 of 13 called it reasonable for a hotel buffet. Two held back — a fifth-time visitor felt the mains fell short of a 95,000-won price, and another said full price gives pause but the discounted 77,000 won felt worth it.
- Six posts mention a private room. A family of eight used it and says rooms are bookable from eight people; a family with an 11-month-old asked for a high chair and was given the room, warning there is only one. One post found it already booked.

It is on the hotel's 4th floor, not underground; six posts took the lift. One says the rear-entrance lift makes the door hard to find and recommends the main street entrance; another came up from the car park by the wrong route and waited in the cinema lobby.
No one who ate here wrote about steps or entering with a wheelchair or pushchair — unknown, not absent. The 'wheelchair accessible' line comes from two information-only posts copying the listing, so we do not rely on it. One family only notes they could move a pushchair inside the private room.
Only one post describes the toilets: through a door by the croffle station and down a long corridor, clean and separated by sex, and pleasantly far from the dining room. Whether that counts as inside the restaurant is unclear.

Of the 27 posts we gathered, 3 went up on a single day right after a TV spot and show no sign of a visit. They retell the broadcast, so we left them out of the counts.
We do not discard them. That a TV spot produced a burst of posts is itself something worth knowing about a place, and a star rating will not show it.

What we do not know
- Space is disputed: six posts say the tables are well spaced, three say the room is small, and one (Christmas 2025) found it roomy but tightly packed.
- The menu has changed: June 2025 posts describe American home-style dishes (chicken pot pie, orzo, crispy pork belly); 2026 posts describe a Korean-leaning lineup (dakgalbi salad, grilled pork belly, fresh kimchi, mugwort tiramisu). A five-time visitor felt it had slipped a little.
- Prices have moved three times: 49,000/89,000 won in June 2025, 59,000/95,000 won by September 2025, and a separate 69,000-won weekend lunch in 2026. One September 2026 post copied an October price table with a 99,000-won weekend dinner, not yet confirmed by a meal. The children's dinner price appears as both 47,500 and 49,500 won.
- Opening hours come mostly from copied tables: nine posts agree on 6:30 to 22:00 with breaks 10:30 to 12:00 and 14:30 to 18:00; breakfast 6:30 to 10:30 and dinner 18:00 to 22:00 are consistent. Lunch ends at 14:30 in most posts, 14:00 and 14:40 in one each. No post mentions a closing day.
- Waiting barely comes up: one post had no wait thanks to a booking, another arrived before the 6 pm opening and waited 15 minutes in a waiting area. No one went without a booking, so the walk-in wait is unknown.
- Ten posts say it is a short walk, 3 to 5 minutes from exit 9 of Hongik University station. No one mentions coming by bus.
- Company varies: family 7, friends 6, partner 4, work or group 2. Many went for a birthday or anniversary.
- The phone number 02-330-7800 appears in many posts; one says private-room bookings (from eight people) are made by phone.
- Some promotional writing is mixed in: two June 2025 posts use the same press-kit menu names in the same order, but only one discloses a sponsored meal. A single blog also posted two information-only pieces (July and September 2026) without visiting; we did not count them.
